Who we are and what is expected of us

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special, zealous for good works.”

Titus 2: 11-14 (New King James Version)

If you woke up this morning , not knowing the reason for why you are alive this day or pondered ‘what life is this ? I don’t know what I am supposed to do ‘ then this is for you.

· By the grace of God the gift of Salvation is given to all people
· Jesus Christ our Savior gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness
· Having been washed by the blood we are purified and He calls us His own. We are His own possession.
· We therefore are to be zealous for good works
· We are to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions (remember we are in this world but are not of the world)
· We should live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age
· What do we look forward to ? our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

Getting drawn in by the ways of the world ? Remember Romans 12: 2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

‘Renewing’ of your mind. It’s a continuous tense. Its not a once in a lifetime or a once in a year activity. No… It’s a daily , every moment submission to our Savior that we may be renewed in Him.

God Bless
