Whats throwing you off balance?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;”

Proverbs 3:5

Having an older brother brings out the adventurous side in you. As a kid, I used to walk on the boundary wall of my house which connected the gates (my version of the high wire act). Yesterday when travelling on the subway I was wondering where all my sense of balance went !  With every stop and jerk of the train , I found myself reaching for the railing overhead.  I actually did ask God “Lord as a kid I used to walk on the edge of the walls and all , and now I cant seem to balance in a train…  Whyyyyyyyyy ?!” and its amazing at how sweet our heavenly Daddy is, He answers even the funny questions of our heart. He brought my attention to my insanely large backpack on my back which held 9 books, a laptop and a lot of other stuff too. And He said , “What’s on your back is throwing you off balance, let go and you will find yourself stable”.

Of course I was happy to know my sense of balance hasn’t gone totally off , but here is where God nudged my heart even more… God has created us with hearts completely capable of trusting in Him completely. Its when we start carrying unwanted things upon ourselves (worries, our understanding, our striving, hurts, offenses, unforgiveness…) that we get thrown out of balance.

If we would just lay it all down, and surrender it all to Him, then it doesn’t matter what jerks , stops, twists or turns come on the way… Nothing can deter us for our trust is in Him completely.

Trust in the Lord with ALLLLLLLL your heart and lean NOTTTTTTTT on your own understanding.

God Bless

Hold on

“When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, And when you run, you will not stumble. Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her for she is your life.”

Proverbs 4 : 12-13

Ever walked on a slippery path and been glad there was a railing you could hold on to ? Ever been so tired and you had these steps that you had to climb and you were so glad there was a railing you could hold on to , to help pull you as you climbed ?

If we would take firm hold of His instruction it doesn’t matter how difficult the path ahead of us. When we walk our steps will not be hindered and when we run we will not stumble.

2 Timothy 3 : 16 – 17 , “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

God has given us all that we need … we are thoroughly equipped for every good work. Hold on to His instructions,  eat of His word…

God Bless

My dwelling place 24*7

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”

Psalm 91:1

I must have read this verse a hundred times… God has this fun way of getting our attention… I have always been captivated about “abiding under the shadow of the Almighty”. As a kid I for some reason always pictured myself just safe under shadow of His wings.

The other day though this is what grabbed my heart , “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High”. Some translations have it as “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High”. He who dwells ! He who dwells…

The word dwell means “to remain” or “to live as a resident”…. Just picture that with me… He who resides, he who lives as a resident in the presence of God ! Wow ! The problem with most of us is we think His presence is a guest house: - ) It’s a Sunday morning visit or a daily morning visit as part of our Christian routine…

God has called us for more that that… we are to dwell in the secret place , dwell in the shelter of the Most High… to reside constantly, to just live in His presence… and when we do, we shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty… We know He is over us…

It’s a 24*7 state of being. Its not something we do… its just who we are … we are those who just dwell in the secret place of the Most High.

I pray God will stir up our hearts to make that our greatest desire.. to just dwell in the secret place of the Most High… Doesn’t matter what’s happening around us… doesn’t matter what the circumstance… we are His children abiding under the shadow of the Almighty

God bless

When push comes to shove...

“You shall go down before me to Gilgal; and surely I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and make sacrifices of peace offerings. Seven days you shall wait, till I come to you and show you what you should do.”

I Samuel 10: 8

When Saul was anointed as king by Samuel, Samuel told him how God would be with him and what would happen as he went. Now one of the many things that Samuel revealed to Saul was this, that he would go to Gilgal and there after 7 days Samuel would come and will show him what to do as they would offer burnt offerings and peace offerings. Sounds good ? Yeah precise instructions, blessings, just been anointed as king.

Lets fast forward to chapter 13. We see time has progressed and when the Philistines gathered together to fight with Israel, the Israelites were scared.  We read in I Samuel 13 : 8 , “Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel, But Samuel did not come to Gilgal and the people were scattered from him.” And so Saul decided to take matters into his hands. Verses 9-10 , “So Saul said, : Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.: And he offered the burnt offering. Now it happened as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went to meet him, that he might greet him.

When push comes to shove will we be found trying to make God’s word come to pass or will be found trusting in Him and His faithfulness ? Saul was scared that the Philistines had gathered and that the people were scattered. Samuel had said that Saul would have to wait for seven days. But as that seventh day was going by Saul decided “I better do something… this is way beyond me… what’s going to happen … I don’t know…” Here is where holding on to Him comes into play.

A lot of times when we are in a place where things are so way beyond us, we know God is with us , we know we have to wait , but when  push comes to shove we decide to go with “How do I make God’s word come to pass…” , “How do I make this happen”… When God has promised us something He will bring it to pass. He is not a man to lie.

I pray that this word will hit home today. May we be a generation that knows to rest in Him when push comes to shove. Maybe it’s the end of the seventh day and it seems like the words spoken over your life aren’t coming to pass, maybe you are surrounded by an army that from a human perspective seems just so overwhelming and too much to handle… Remember we were never called to fight battles alone… God is with us… The victory is ours for He fights the battles for us. We just walk into freedom and victory.

Turning off the cold

“One thing I have desired of the LORD, that I will seek; That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple.”

Psalm27: 4

Compared to where I am from, where I am right now is pretty cold. For anything, I want the water to be nice and hot even if its for washing the dishes. So there are the same usual two taps for – one for hot water and one for cold… I open both and the water is warm but not as hot as I would want it to be… so I turn hot water tap to the max and the water is still pretty lukewarm and bam ! this is what God speaks to me “In order to be hot you need to learn to cut off the cold” So yeah I did turn off the cold water tap and lo the water was really hot . Of course God was speaking about more than just water mixtures..The same thing applies to us in our walk with Christ.. we try and have both the hot and cold in our lives and think oh I am doing this and this and this and so I should be hot , but we might find ourselves lukewarm. The reason ? We have things that make us cold running alongside within us…Its Time to turn off the cold. There may be some things in our life that God wants us to change, to turn off, to prune, to cut off , for us to be truly on fire for Him.

The verse speaks of one thing , this one desire , this one thing David will seek , and that is to just dwell with Him all the days of his life just gazing at His beauty and studying at His feet.

A lot of us try and do several other things and expect that to compensate for having spent time in His presence.

We need to spend time and find out what are the several things we are seeking and turn off the cold. May our greatest desire , May the only one thing we seek is to just dwell with Him just gazing at His beauty and studying at His feet.

God Bless

Today is purposed

“The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps”

Proverbs 16: 9

The other day I forgot my office access card at home and happened to be going early to office. What that meant is that I would not be able to enter into my office building because it was pretty early. As I went “Oh no” in my head , God said “Don’t worry, there is someone who will be there ahead of you and will open the door”. I thought to myself “hmmm ok God” and continued on my journey to office. As I reached the office building and glanced at that closed office door from across the road I thought “Hmmm.. I don’t see anyone around…” but I have learnt that when God says something He takes care of it and we just have to simply obey. So I walked towards my office door and I was a few steps away from the door and suddenly this guy comes ahead of me and swipes his card and opens the door for me to enter. I was like “As You promised Lord ! You are so amazing”

Its amazing the way God so beautifully prepares everything for us. Its amazing how all we need to do is just walk in obedience into what He has orchestrated.

God’s purposes and plans for us are just so way beyond what our minds could ever comprehend. The Lord directs, the Lord establishes our steps ! Psalm 139 : 16-18 , “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You

Isn’t that amazing. In His book have been written the days regarding us , every one of them even before such a day even existed. Still thinking this is just an ordinary day ? Still thinking there is nothing God centric about today ?

This day and every day is all about Him ! He has things written down regarding every single moment of every day . He establishes our every step.

I pray that we seek to live every moment of every day as His heart desires and we will see His plans unfold.

Today is not without purpose. TODAY IS PURPOSED and that’s why we are in it. Thank you Lord

Definitions Redefined ! Walk into the more

“Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite”

Psalm 147:5

I shifted apartments over the weekend and when I woke up in the morning and glanced at my new room, I thought to myself “Wow this room is huge”. Others didn’t seem to think so.. So as I walked around all sleepy to the other rooms in the apartment and spent time just admiring the vastness of the space, I realized “Hmmm.. My room is pretty big for me, but now that I have seen another room which is bigger , I know what their ‘bigger’ meant..” its so relative.

Not that I would do much with the extra space , but as I was thinking that this is what God laid on my heart.. Many at times we think “This is all God can handle” because that is all that we have seen or have confined ourselves to. So “Get out of your room” J

Many at times we try and confine God’s ability within the paradigms of our understanding … Here is the truth – Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite ! When I went to the bigger hall and looked at the space I thought “Ok this is a lot of space” , when I went upstairs and glanced at the backyard “ I went Whoa that is a lot of space” , when I went for a drive to a nearby spot and looked at the beauty of the land and saw the creek flow I went “ now that’s beautiful and spacious” and I’m sure as I keep going my definitions of spaciousness is will change J

The more we spend time in His presence , the more He reveals Himself to us , our definitions of a relationship with God and what He can do keeps growing and expanding. We first start off with “5 mins of prayer” and then we go to “half an hour” and then on to an hour and as we keep tasting His presence and just spending time with His word we realize how much ever is never enough. We start off with “oh yes God heals but its only others and not me”, and then as we taste and see His goodness we go “Whoa God worked this in my life” and our understanding grows to a point where we truly live what we believe and say “Nothing is impossible for my God”

Are your definitions of what God can do in your life confined to the limitations of your mind? Time to step out in faith.. Time to grow.. Time to have Him change our definitions of every day life..

God Bless

Come Come Come

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price”

Isaiah 55: 1

As a kid whenever I would come home from school there would always be these yummy snacks just waiting for me (and for my brother too of course J ). And the snacks on the table used to differ based on the season. If it was summer then mom would have something spicy and lots of ice cream to follow as dessert. If it was winter then it would be something steaming hot so that we could sip on it or basically make us feel warmer as we ate. Every morning when I would wake up to get ready for school, I would hear the sound of gospel music playing and the smell of good food. My mom would pack our lunches too. Everything was ready for me. All I had to do is go and feast on my breakfast, carry my lunch, finish school, come back home and feast again. A mother’s love.

How much more compassionate and gracious is our God ! His love has no comparison…His mercy and His grace has been poured out on us in abundance. And God is calling out to us “Come”
It doesn’t matter what you have, come and taste and see what He has !! : )

Some times we make things so complicated that we start striving for things we shouldn’t. His grace is all that we need. He is calling us “Come”. It doesn’t matter what the circumstance, what the situation, it doesn’t matter what we have done wrong, its not about what we have or what we can give Him… all He is looking for is you..… come as you are and feast on what He has prepared.
He knows every tear… would you come ?
Those of us tied up with the business of life and work and college … Come come to waters..

God bless

Walking into what God has orchestrated

“Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha”

II Kings 6: 17

A little context to this verse. The king of Syria was trying to war against Israel. But when they would plot something , God revealed these things to Elisha and Elisha would warn the king of Israel. The king of Syria was really troubled at this. At first he thought he had a traitor in his camp/army. But then he was told that it was because of Elisha the prophet. So we read in verse 14 what the king of Syria did , “So he sent there horses and chariots and a great army, and they came by night and surrounded the city”.

Verse 15 , “When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”” Just imagine this sight … you wake up early morning and step out of your front door and what do you see ? An army with horses and chariots all around the city set out to destroy you !! The servant’s reaction was “Alas!!”

Let see Elisha’s reaction, verse 16 , ““ He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”” . The servant must have gone “huh !! what are you talking about??”

Time after time when we are faced with tough situations or tough circumstances we often look at US vs the problem. Now if that is the case we are going to get flustered, we are going to get overwhelmed, we are going to panic. No matter what the situation, no matter what the circumstance we need to remember that we are never alone. We need to remember its never us as individuals alone vs anything. God with us : ) Its Him vs the problem and we all know who the victor is !!

Elisha was as cool as a cucumber !! He was like “don’t be afraid ! There are more that are with us than with them”… We outnumber the enemy !! And then Elisha prayed. We read in verse 17 ““Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha”” What an amazing revelation.

Now get this, Elisha never had to pray “Lord send me an army of horses and chariots of fire”… He didn’t even had to ask ! But he saw what God had already sent.

I pray that as we walk every moment of every day we may not walk it as a self thing , a striving thing , a Me vs the world thing… But I pray that our eyes may be opened to see what God has already set up all around us…
God Bless

What are we focussed on ?

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows”

Psalm 23: 5

Isn’t it interesting that God always goes before us and has everything prepared ? : ) He has this table prepared for us. Here we read it being in the presence of our enemies. Sometimes we tend to focus on our surroundings rather than what God has actually prepared for us. Here is this table prepared for us… just waiting for us… Do we go right ahead and feast ? Or are we flustered by the presence of the enemies.

In the midst of circumstances , situations that may be distressing , that the world might see and go “Oh no” , God has gone before us and has prepared has established has ordained this table this feast for us : ) What will be our focus today ? The table that God has prepared ? Or the circumstance ?

He anoints our heads with oil and our cup overflows : ) The table is prepared. What are we going to do ?

God Bless

“You have heard that it was said, “ An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.” But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.”

Matthew 5: 38-42

The other night as I was sitting lazily on the sofa I heard water dripping from the faucet. My friend had not closed it properly. Now I was just so snug in my place that I didn’t want to get up and go all the way to the kitchen and close the faucet. But that drip drip drip sound was driving me crazy. So guess what I did ? I decided to the turn the volume up on my laptop so that the music would drown out the dripping sound !! And as I did that God laid on my heart “This doesn’t solve the problem. But this is how people resort to other people’s problems. Instead of getting up and helping out , they just sit in willful ignorance”. I immediately sprang up from where I was , went straight to the kitchen, closed the faucet well and came back to my place.

Of course this was about way more than a dripping faucet. Sometimes when we see people struggling, when we see someone in a problem, how willing are we to go out of our snug routine, out of our snug comfort zones to help out ? Its always going to be inconvenient.

Think about this
  • Whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also (If people willfully try and hurt you don’t worry about it, don’t try to get back at them, be willing to turn the other cheek to them also because God is on our side…. )
  • If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also (Its not about trying to prove you are right with all your might or go all defensive… If someone is trying all kinds of ways to get something from you desperately give it and more to them – that is a testimony too)
  • Whoever compels you to go one mile , go with him two – Whenever someone comes to you and asks for something , do more than what is expected… Do more than what is asked
  • Give to him who asks you and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away – Give Give Give…

One translation puts it this way “Here's another old saying that deserves a second look: 'Eye for eye, tooth for tooth.' Is that going to get us anywhere? Here's what I propose: 'Don't hit back at all.' If someone strikes you, stand there and take it. If someone drags you into court and sues for the shirt off your back, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. And if someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously

During our week we come across a lot of situations where we feel “How could he/she do that to me ? They said that falsely about me ! He/She is all out to ruin me/defame me” … during the week we see so many people in need. So many people who need help… It could be at work, it could be our neighbors, it could be the person who delivers the paper , it could be someone you see on the subway… We pass hundreds of people during the course of a week who do not know Christ as their personal savior.

Do we ignore the problem by drowning out the noise sitting in willful ignorance ? Or do we react to circumstances and situations the way Christ has commanded us ? Do we walk in LOVE ?

We cant do this on our own… But we can do it by His grace ! If we would just ask “Lord help us walk in Love, Lord help us be as You would desire” He will answer our prayer. But the question is will this be our daily prayer? Will this be the desire of our heart to pursue walking in love every day every moment by His grace and for His glory ? If we would pray …we will see the fulfillment.

 God Bless

Seek Him with all our heart

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29: 13

I spent quite some time this week asking God “Lord what do you want me to send in the verse for the day?” and I didn’t hear anything and I have actually been wondering why? And then today God brings to my remembrance what He wants me to type and I go “Oh yeah ! You did tell me this over the weekend” but I had forgotten ! Write it down SS Write it down !! J

Please read the this chapter when you get some time today.  The context of this verse is that people from Jerusalem have been taken captive to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar. So now the people themselves are scared and worried and as a result of it are seeing dreams accordingly and there were those who were prophesying falsely. And this is what God tells Jeremiah to convey to the people. We read in verses 9 – 11 , “For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the LORD. For thus says the LORD : After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Ever been a situation where things were so tough and people around you had nothing but distressing things to say ? Remember this and be of good cheer ! Its doesn’t matter what the situation or circumstance is , it doesn’t matter what people think or say .. we know our life is in His hands. And who knows His thoughts better than Him ? And He says “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you”  In my head I picture this as God looking down at  us and saying “Shhhhh…don’t worry what people say…. Listen to me J “. Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Isn’t that awesome ! If you have been having a rough week then say this with me , “It doesn’t matter if I know… I know He knows and that’s all I need to know” and lets Rejoice in Him ! J

Verses 12- 13 , “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Call upon Him , come step into His presence and  pray and He listens to every word we have to say patiently and lovingly. Our Father is so awesome. Now praying is one aspect of Him. There is another aspect of just seeking Him. Pursuing Him for who He is. And the more we seek Him , the more we will find Him when we seek Him with all our heart.

God Bless

His perspective

“The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light.”

Luke 11 : 34

Ever watched a Disney classic cartoon before going to bed and ended up dreaming of castles and honey eating bears ? Or ever watched a cooking show and all of sudden become really hungry ? J

We read  that the our eye is the lamp of your body. When our eyes are healthy, our whole body also is full of light. The question today is what are we fueling ourselves with ? What are we feeding ourselves with ?

Its not just about what see on TV , or read in magazines…  but its also how we choose to see things and allow it to either strengthen us or break us. When someone passes by, what do we see ? Do we see fellow brother/sister in Christ who needs to know Jesus ? do we look in lust ? do we look in contempt and bitterness ? What are we seeing today ?

Colossians 3: 2 says, “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”. Basically we are to see things from His perspective. Things that matter and things that don’t. I know for me during the course of the day its so easy to get my heart and head wrapped around so many other things.

Ever got stuck in traffic ? Ever had that ruin your mood ? J I remember this testimony that someone I know shared. She would pray for people around her as she stood in traffic.  What was she seeing differently ?

“The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light.”

Ready to shine ?

He never leaves us stranded in the middle

“So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

Matthew 14: 29-30

We all know Peter took a pretty good step of faith and got out of the boat and walked on the water towards Christ.  Have you ever taken steps of faith when Christ said ‘Come” ? I’m sure we all have.. if you haven’t yet you should.. its awesome.

How many of us have had our faith become a little shaky when things start getting rough? I’m sure most of us all have at some point in time. I know I have. But here is the best part…  The moment we cry “Lord save me” there He is . We read in verses 31 – 32 , “Jesus immediately reached out His hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased

Now remember Peter had walked away from the boat (no idea how far or near was that… we do know it was far enough that they screamed Ghost when they saw Jesus). We know Peter walked towards Jesus. Some translations have it as  Peter came to Jesus. But get this… the moment Peter said Lord save me and was beginning to sink here is what happened

·         Jesus immediately reached out his hand (He stretched his hand out… )
·         And took hold of him (whether Peter grabbed on to His hand or not, Jesus for sure took hold of him)
·         He teaches Peter that if he had faith , if he did not doubt the fact that he could not be overcome by the waves around him he would not have begun to sink
·         He doesn’t just pull him out and say “Ok now walk back on your own… Go Go”… He goes with Peter into the boat and guess what..the wind ceased

God will never leave you stranded in the middle…. When we are too scared to grab on, He will take hold of us. He loves us so much that through the storm He walks us through till the winds cease !! But remember if we have faith , we will overcome the storm.. He goes before us… we are just drawing near to Him !

God Bless

Therefore my heart rejoices :)

The LORD is my strength and my shield, My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.

Psalm 28: 7

Yesterday I found my self singing , “ I’ve got the joy joy joy down in my heart. Where? Down in my heart”. For those familiar with this song , you would identify it as a really old Sunday school song J

His joy is amazing ! The last couple of weeks I found myself going , “Oh nooo Its Monday” and the whole “Yaaaay its almost Friday”.  I was literally counting the days to every Friday every week. But then last week  this question struck me , “What’s the source of my joy?”. Now the answer to that was definitely simple – Its Jesus. But then why was I behaving like it was the day of the week driving my enthusiasm to look forward to a day ?

God is so good ! All I did was think “Lord you need to be my joy factor” and He did the rest. This week was as hectic as last , but it had something more.. It had Jesus as my source of joy. Now don’t get me wrong, I am blessed with a wonderful job, awesome church, God fearing friends and family. But this was different, my joy wasn’t going to be dependent on how things went at work, my joy wasn’t going to be dependent on people and most of all for me , my joy wasn’t going to be dependent on the day of the week. I wanted His joy to be my strength. And its been an awesome blessed week.

Ever feel like a baby cradled in the arms of the Father ? Yup, that our Jesus ! We are His children and His love is incomprehensible ! Living in His joy and His strength !

The LORD is my strength and my shield, My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.”   Our lives were always meant to be different from those of the world… we have Jesus !

God Bless

Worship

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him”

John 4: 23

I was skimming through my phone the other day and came across this menu item called “World Clock” and it basically had this world map laid out and as you kept clicking it would take you to all the key cities across the world and tell you the current time in that city. It was kinda fun because as I kept my finger continuously pressed on the button, the screen just kept shifting from one end of the world to the other. Now when there are so many phone apps for so many different things, you could build a cool app which would auto say prayers and blessings for different countries across the world but it would not mean a thing.. Why ? Its not about having done something… Its about the heart from which it comes. And this is why you and I are so unique…because only we can lift up to heavens the prayers and worship to our God.

Now when we say worship a lot of us think “Ah songs !”. Some of us think its  something that we need to strive for in order to truly worship God…And that’s not true…

If you have the time please read the entire passage from John 4 : 1 . We read from the earlier verses of how Jesus asks a Samaritan woman for a drink of water. And the woman is shocked since Jews had no such dealings with Samaritans in those days. Christ goes on to have this wonderful conversation with her.  We read in John 4 : 13 -15 , “Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”” The woman takes the literal meaning of what Jesus is talking about and in all sincerity of heart says to Jesus to give her this water so that she will not have to come there to actually draw water. As they talk Jesus reveals details about the woman and she then says that she perceives that He is a prophet and goes on to say in John 4 : 20-21 , “Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.

The woman spoke of people having to go to a specific place to go and worship God which is what people in those days had to do… They had to go to the temple to worship God. But listen to what Christ is saying and we are in that time where we have within us a spring of water welling up to eternal life.  Verse 23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship HimWorship is not something that is just done when we sing songs, or just go to church on a Sunday no no no its more than that…This is God’s heart , true worshippers will worship God in spirit and truth.  Its an everywhere every time possibility. While the dictionary of this world defines it as an act of reverence, its so way beyond that.

Fullness of time

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”

Galatians 4:4

All mother’s know the importance of the word “fullness”. Carrying their baby in their womb and knowing that God is at work preparing the baby and the baby is taking shape and form… there is a fullness of time to come and at that point yes, by His grace its time to hold that precious baby in your hands :)

For those of us who love cooking (or in my case like watching cooking shows ) you notice that for every preparation there is fullness of time. And it is different for different dishes. It might be the same ingredient, say for example an egg . But depending on the final dish, the very boiling of an egg is different. And some times that quarter boiled, half boiled or completely boiled egg is not even the final outcome. Its further used to drive some other ingredients into becoming this now newly transformed dish (sometimes you just cant even make out there was an egg). The chef knows what he/she is doing. They know the end result and they hence know the fullness of time. You definitely don’t want a messy quarter boiled egg when your end result is to have diced hard boiled eggs .

End result – We are now sons and daughters of the most High ! God knew when the fullness of time had come. He knew that was the moment in human history. And when it came, He sent forth Jesus. He was born under the law to redeem us who were under the law ! Wow isn’t that amazing !

Is there something that you are waiting on the Lord for ? Are you getting tired or weary of waiting ? Remember its while waiting that your strength is renewed ! (Isaiah 40:31) Be encouraged today that there is a preparation that’s going on… Be encouraged that when the fullness of the time comes , God will cause what He has planned to happen because He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last , the Beginning and the End.

God Bless You

May we be found grateful

“So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?”
Luke 17 : 17

We read from verses 11- 19 that as Jesus passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee , He entered a certain village and there He saw ten men who were lepers. V13 , “And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!””

Verses 14-15 , “So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God.

Ever thought to yourself “Man those other nine were so ungrateful. They were healed and they didn’t bother to come and thank Jesus ?” I mean think about it. Being a leper meant you were unclean ! You were cast out . And here Jesus had just healed them. They were clean. They were no longer outcast. How could that not be reason enough just to run to Jesus and thank Him ?

Christ ransomed us by His blood. We were lost to sin. And now we are His own. If we woke up this morning and are alive , its by grace ! I pray we may run to God grateful that He has made us whole. That our identity is in Him and the reason we live is for His glory.

God Bless

Unmixed with any other matter

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God”

Matthew 5: 8

Last week as I had just finished reading a blog post that come to my email (I had subscribed to a blog to auto get updates) and after I finished reading it , God just laid it on my heart to send it to someone. And going by logic I knew (well at least I thought I knew : -) ) that the post had no connection to the person whom God was nudging me to send it. Normally I would have just sent it but then work came up and I got distracted and let that thought slip by. So the weekend came and the weekend went. And talking to some other friends I realized the significance of sending it. I am so amazed at the way God works. The way it was relevant to her just having it in her inbox itself was boom ! Well I finally ended up sending it to her saying “I was supposed to send it last week but I didn’t :( “

Sometimes when we think pure in heart, we only think “ok free from lust , free from sexual immorality , free from telling lies and jealousy”…

The dictionary defines pure as “unmixed with any other matter” which also means free from any thing that is not of God. So free from doubt, free from overthinking and extra reliance on logic after having heard from God , free from distractions of this world… a heart that’s unmixed with any other matter :)

Father I pray that we may have pure hearts. Hearts that just pursue You ! In Jesus name Amen.

God Bless

On Behalf

“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

Ezekiel 22: 30

When we read the entire chapter 22 we see the sins of the nation. We read of dishonor , sexual immorality, mistreatment, shedding of blood, priests not distinguishing between holy and unholy , prophets lying with false prophecies, wrongful oppression…. This was the state of the nation .

A lot of us might think “Yeah God punish this wicked nation so that they will know they cannot mess with You !!” . I mean they were totally lost in wickedness .

But this is the heart of God. He sought for a man who would
• Make a wall
• Stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land

The wall was a protection around the city. And its not an easy build. It has to be really strong to stand in the day of battle. In short a lot of work. So the question is while we know what’s wrong with our city, what’s wrong with our nation , what are we doing otherwise that will be like a wall to it ?

The next is stand in gap before Him on behalf of the land. So when we are saying on behalf , its not simply saying “Oh Lord please bless XYZ country”. Its us standing on behalf saying “Lord I stand here as XYZ Country and this is my prayer” … huge difference.

God’s heart is so merciful . His love is beyond comprehension. When God is searching will He find us ? Or will He find no one because we were too wrapped up with office, college, friends

God Bless

Are we willing to be Self - Less?

“And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma”

Ephesians 5: 2

We read in Luke 9: 23 , “Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me”.

The cross is a place where every bit of self is put to death. Jesus Christ is Lord. He is our savior. Now He who could heal, raise people from the dead, call things into existence , He could have done anything. But yet He chose to be crucified for us , to redeem us, to seal our identity in Him , to set us free.

II Corinthians 5: 21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” He redeemed us from the curse of the law.

We are now called to walk in love , to follow Him, to be imitators of Him. If we are to this , we need that every bit of self be crucified. Its not about things of this world, its about things of Him and His word. Its about walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh. Its about being renewed in both spirit and mind.

As we walk in the realization of the freedom we now have in Him, as we walk in the realization of His incomprehensible love, as we walk as sons/daughters of the most High, as we walk knowing He has conquered it all , will we also walk saying “Lord may You increase and I decrease” ? Will we choose to lay it all down and say “Its not about me” ? Will we walk in the realization that as citizens of heavens our priorities and focus is different ? Will we walk a life where we truly follow Him ?

“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me”

Ephesians 5 : 1-2 . “ Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma

God Bless

Love Love Love

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8 : 38 – 39

We read in Luke 22: 20 , “And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.” His blood shed for us. Under the new covenant. We are His people, ransomed by His blood.

We read yesterday about the freedom we now have in Christ. Today lets get a glimpse of His love which we know is incomprehensible.

Romans 8 : 35-37 , “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us
” Verse 37 is a verse we hear very often “We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” , I love the first half of the verse “In all these things” – Understand that nothing is so big or too much that can cause us to stray from His love. For in all these things be it tribulations or distress or danger or sword… we are MORE than conquerors THROUGH HIM who loved us. His love is sooo amazing. May we walk in the realization that it doesn’t matter what circumstance we are facing . We are never far from His love. And through that awesome love that God pours out on us , we are more than conquerors. So its not even just about conquering that tribulation or overcoming that circumstance. But that we would continue to draw closer to Him , to grow in Him , to walk in realization of His love.

We read in verses 38-39 , “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

NOTHING can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Doesn’t this fascinate you – “nor things present nor things to come” !! If the devil has been whispering to you saying “That’s it.. you are beyond forgiveness , that’s it , there’s no way God will love you anymore” understand that the devil is a LIAR !! I am awestruck when I think “God you know every mistake I will make, you knew way before the world began itself of the times I would make the wrong choices but yet You choose to still love me so much and just embrace me with Your grace and mercy and love.” Amazing love. The devil tries to play these games saying “oh you are useless, why would God ever love you” , make sure you crush his head and say “you know what devil , His precious blood , His love makes me whole. And through Him I am now a child of God ! Heir in Christ” . When He ransomed us by His blood , He sealed our identity in Him !

Walk in the realization of His amazing incomprehensible love

Free

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus for He will save His people from their sins.”

Matthew 1: 21

“Remember the works that was completed at the cross … remember the freedom you now have… reflect on the finished works of the cross” - This is what the Lord has been speaking to me.

We read in Matthew 1 : 21 , ‘You shall call His name Jesus for He will save His people from their sins’ ! Wow ! Interesting that it says “His people” … even while we were lost in sin He still calls us His own ! His love is just so incomprehensible !!

He will save His people from their sins !

John 8 : 31 – 38 , “So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?” Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. I know that you are offspring of Abraham; yet you seek to kill me because my word finds no place in you. I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”

John 8 : 36 , “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (I encourage you to read the entire chapter ). If the Son sets us free we are free indeed.

When Christ said in John 19 : 30 “It is finished” it was such a powerful proclamation . We are free ! Christ has set us free .. We need to understand this is a finished work !! Would we live and be alive in this realization ?

It doesn’t matter what you are struggling with today … understand that Christ has conquered sin and death. Going back to John chapter 8 we read in verse 12 , “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “ I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” Following Him means willingness to step out from where we are and walk towards Him.

Are you willing to take what is rightfully yours ? Christ has set us free.. we have this wonderful freedom.. He paid the price , He has set us free. It is finished . Spirit of loneliness, spirit of self pity , spirits of addictions has no place or authority over our lives. Walk in the freedom of Christ. Whom the Son has set free is free indeed.

God Bless

In the quietness

“But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

Genesis 15 : 2

Lets read a little of what happened in Chapter 14 . Lot is taken captive and Abraham (at that point in time still called Abram) goes to war and brings back Lot and his people . Now towards the end of Chapter 14 we see the king of Sodom telling Abraham to take all the goods for himself. And we see Abraham’s response to that suggestion in verses 22-23 , “But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted my hand to the Lord, God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth, that I would not take a thread or a sandal strap or anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich” Wow isn’t that amazing ! Cool testimony , awesome stance of faith !!

Now there’s just another verse and chapter 14 ends. And we read in Chapter 15 verse 1 , “After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”” Whoa… beautiful right ? And what was Abraham’s response ? Verse 2 -3 , “But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.”” Wait wait this was Abraham who testified that he lifted his hand to the Lord God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth . This was Abraham who wanted every aspect of him to be to the glory of God. So where is this kind of statement (O Lord what will You give me ) coming from ?

Note : God will give us victory , He is awesome . We may give Him all the glory because we know only He deserves it , we may walk in obedience… but there are some things that unravel from within when its just us and God !!

When its just us and God , this exclusive one o one , even greater testimonies unfold ! Abraham poured out his heart to God . And as we go on to read Chapter 15 verses 4-5 , “And behold, the word of the Lord came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.” And He brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then He said to him, “So shall your offspring be.

And now comes the best part we read in verse 6, “And he believed the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness” Wow ! Abraham believed and God accounted it to him as righteousness.

While that brilliant testimony in Chapter 14 was terrific , some thing even more amazing unfolded in the quietness of just God and Abraham.

God Bless

He makes, He leads, He restores , He leads

“He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters, He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.”

Psalm 23 : 2-3

Whenever I am travelling back home after spending few months in another country , even if it is a 26 hour journey , there is nothing sweeter than it !! Just the joy of the very thought of seeing the faces of my family, my friends, the thought of fellowshipping in my home church , meeting my Pastors … all of it .. And of course knowing all the cool stuff that I bought for family and friends and all the excitement of seeing their reaction !! :) That anticipation of seeing them as I come out of the airport , getting suffocated by a zillion hugs – Awesome !!

Its amazing how your destination changes your entire perception of the journey itself !

We were meant to run our race looking unto Jesus ! Knowing heaven is where our citizenship is , knowing an eternity with Christ is our destination has that made an impact to our journey ?

He makes me to lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters , He restores my soul , He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. He makes, He leads, He refreshes, restores, He leads :)

Ever boarded the wrong bus/train ? I have. A two and a half hour journey turned out to be close to 5 hours !! And trust me every minute was stressful , strenuous and weighing down. It’s the same thing with our every day every moment journey of life from earth to eternity ! If we are not journeying towards drawing close to Him , every moment stressful, a lot of things will weigh us down. If we are journeying towards Christ , Oh the joy , the excitement , the anticipation … Awesome ! It doesn’t matter if we see some things revealed to us is 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 years… The very journey is exciting because we know where we are heading.

If you are wondering why the picture of the bike, think of it this way … When we are looking to Jesus and moving forward it doesn’t matter if the road is super smooth , bumpy , grassy …. Because He leads, He makes, He restores, He leads :D He knows !! He goes before us , all we gotta do is keep our eyes focused on things above :) However when we lose our focus, when we start looking at things of self , if we start looking down and at every bump and we try to do things in our own strength and try figuring things out on our own , just imagine the amount of unwanted tasks we have just decided to mount up on ourselves !!

He makes, He leads, He restores , He leads !! May we remember to whom we are journeying towards and may our hearts be filled with this amazing truth of His love and how awesome it is knowing our very next breath is in His hands !!

God Bless

Beyond Logical Rationale

“When it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying “This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.” But Jesus said to them. “They do not need to go away, You give them something to eat.”

Matthew 14: 14-15

Look at a situation… Lets rationalize it ! - First thought that hits most of us. This has happened so lets get anxious, this has happened so lets look at our Plan B’s. If we don’t have Plan B’s well lets start making them !

So here is this multitude of five thousand men plus women and children. And when the disciples say “Its getting late, so logically the best thing to do is to send them away so that they can go and get what they need” and here is Jesus saying that the disciples could give the multitude what they needed ! Amazing isn’t it . Take a minute to let that thought reside. God has equipped you and positioned you to take care of the needs of the multitudes around you. Here is the key … That we may see as He wants us to see.

Lets put ourselves in the shoes of the disciples that day . Ok here I am. Jesus says “They do not need to go away, You give them something to eat.” . And I go “what ?? I don’t have the money , I don’t have any food either . I have nothing to offer. But wait , there is a lad with five loaves and two fish. But naaaaa what can that be among so many ! “ So I walk on complaining and wondering …

That’s one way to think : ) And I know that’s highly probable the way I would have thought .

Now lets take a step back and look at how Jesus would have us think. If there are people around me hungry, if there are people around me with a need and if I am here its by His purpose. Lord may I see what You want me to see. God never leaves us empty . He provisions in the amazing ways. But its not always in the logical rational way that we are used to . He may bring to you a lad with five loaves and two fish. Will you see it as what it is by the world’s standards ? Or will you see it by what it is when you give it to Him ? By every sense of logic that seemed so insignificant. Will we recognize and be sensitive to what God can do ? Because its not by might nor by power : )

When its lifted to God … wow ! Try and use Mathematics to explain this !! : ) We read in verses 19-21 , “Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained.

Someone texted me “Those who give everything in God’s hand, will find God’s hand in everything” : )

Run with endurance looking to Jesus !

“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great;”

Genesis 12 : 2

Picture God telling you this “I will make you a great nation, I will bless you and make your name great”… Wow ! Now here is an interesting question … how long would you wait for it to come to pass ? One thing that I have learnt and am still learning is to be sensitive to God’s leading. Sometimes we hear a word from God and then go all out in trying to make it come to pass one way or the other :-)

When God promises He fulfills. No doubts there. Sometimes we get so carried by the How’s and when’s that we lose our focus.

When you are 99years old would you still hold on to what God told you years ago believing He is a God who is true to His promise ? That’s the faith God has called us to have .

Sometimes we try to figure out how God works based on how humans work… But He is GOD ! He love is incomprehensible. His ways and thoughts are way higher than ours ! Praise the Lord for that !!

Enjoy waiting on the Lord ! Enjoy resting in Him ! Enjoy trusting Him to direct your every step because He is a perfect God !

His love and His faithfulness is always steadfast . Its we who waiver from time to time.
So if you are waiting on the Lord for something , if there is something that you have been praying for a long time , don’t worry … Our God is the Alpha and the Omega, He is the great I AM … And His word is true… So walk anxious free… Keep looking to Him !

God Bless

Yours for the taking

“And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: “Shout for the LORD has given you the city!””

Joshua 6 : 16

A very familiar passage for most. Jericho was this super securely shut city. We read in Joshua 6: 2, “And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” Some versions go like this “Then the LORD said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men”.

Isn’t it so interesting that God said “I have given” , “ I have delivered” . In other words, hey its already done !! God didn’t say “I’m going to give” , He said “I have given”. Its all Joshua’s for the taking.

Jesus Christ has already paid the price for us. We have been ransomed by His blood. He has already conquered sin and death. He has set us free. He has purposed us for His glory. Its all ours for the taking !

Now while God had already given Joshua Jericho , God also commanded him to do something . We read in verses 3-5 , “March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in

Here is a step of faith , of obedience and perseverance . Wait wait wait ! “How in the world does marching around a city every bring a wall down ?” , “ Why should I walk once for six days and on the seventh day for seven times. Im just too busy , how about I split it up into two days, six times on one day and seven times on the other so that I can do what I want on the other days” :-) Sometimes we try to fit God’s super high ways into our very limited thinking. Some times we think “Oh ok , let me fit this into what’s convenient for me”. We forget what its all about … Faith in God and simple and complete obedience ! :-)

God gave the city , God brought the walls down, God gave the Israelites the victory. All He expected from them is faith and obedience.

Have we super complicated things ? I pray we will go to God just as a child. In simplicity of heart and complete obedience trusting God with our everything. Walking in faith and doing as He has commanded us.

Verse 20 “So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

Ready to take the city for Christ ? Its all ours for the taking !

Have a FAITH FULL New Year !

“By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith”

Hebrews 11: 7

Going back to the book of Genesis , the latter half of Chapter 6 talks of the instructions God gives Noah to build the ark. What if Noah had procrastinated ? What if he woke up every morning and said “ Na I just don’t feel like building the ark today… Im tired of chopping wood and measuring stuff”. :-) We read in Chapter 6 and verse 22 , “This Noah did; according to all that God commanded him. so he did.” Some translations have it like this “Noah did everything just as God commanded him”. Wow !
We read in Chapter 7 : 1 “ Then the LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.” As we keep reading we see how Noah’s family entered the ark and then the various animals, birds went into the ark. Now take a step back with me… Noah’s obedience had so many things hinging on it. He did everything just as God had commanded him, he built the ark . And then his family entered the ark. And then the various living creatures. And then the floods came. Building the ark was definitely no cake walk. It required perseverance. It wasn’t a day of perseverance , it wasn’t months… It was years … Years of perseverance. Years of waking up every morning and saying ,” I’m going to do just as God has commanded me. “ and then living it out .

By faith ! He lived years of perseverance living by faith based on what God had said and commanded him. He didn’t think a year down the line “What if this doesn’t matter anymore..” Nope.. He persevered ! He moved with Godly fear and became heir of righteousness which is according to faith.

Here we are blessed with a whole new year ahead of us. I don’t know what your past year has been like. But I do know one thing for sure .. we are called to do everything just as God has commanded us. Not just hearers of His word but doers of His word. Yes , it requires perseverance. And He gives us grace to press on , to go forth . We are not here by accident. We are here according to His purposes. He has plans for us and things hinge on our obedience.

May we step out in faith and persevere as He has commanded us and live out our faith .

Have a wonderful blessed Christ centric year.

God Bless
