How great is our God ! He said it ,and it was formed !! The power of every word that comes forth from the Lord is so beyond our comprehension.
I remember this one time when I had parked my car in church and I, in a kidding tone, told my sisters "Hey what if the hand brake wasnt there and the car rolled off ? "... The car was parked at the edge of this 2-3ft deep step below which bikes were parked. And guess what ? True enough that almost happened later that day !! And as I sat in the car alone with my heart racing glad that the car hadnt rolled off , I heard the Lord teach me something very important.
The Lord taught me that I am an anointed child of God 24*7 !! When I pray and speak in authority and faith that Jesus Christ has given us, that same authority and anointing is there even when I am not on my knees. I cant choose to say that "Only when I pray Lord, then listen to me but otherwise let my words hold no significance"
It doesnt work that way.
We read in James 3 : 11 "Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?" When we speak it has to go either His way or the other way ! :-) There is no gray area in the middle that we can sit and say 'well its neither this nor that'
In Psalm 33 : 4 we read that "For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth" ....
His word is ? RIGHT
What is done in truth ? ALL HIS WORK !!
Are our words right ? Do we pray at home with faith knowing that the Lord hears every word, but then when we go out do we let so many unwanted words pass through our lips ?
We serve an awesome and Holy God ! By His word the heavens were made and all the host of them ! He is our Father , how careful are we (as His children) about our words ?

Whatever you do...
"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him"

"whatever you do".... That pretty much covers everything :)
Every single word, every single action is to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus , giving thanks to God the Father through Him !Have we ever kept every word or action of ours under such scrutiny ? We ought to ! Everything that we do is to be done in the name of Jesus. And do you know why ? For the glory of God !
Sometimes we forget the power in the name of Jesus. It is not to be taken in vain...its not to be joked about ! When we speak we have the authority of being ambassadors of Christ ! Now every word or deed is to be done in His name for His glory with thanksgiving.
How many idle words have we spoken....How many actions of ours were not acceptable in His sight ?
We read in Acts 3: 1-10 about Peter and John who saw a man who was lame from his mother's womb ...And do you know what they told him ? "Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” and we know what followed ... Peter took him by the right hand and lifted him up and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength and he began to walk , leap and praise God. And people around were fille with wonder and amazement.
Can you imagine how blessed we and those around us would be if every word and deed of ours were done in the name of Jesus ?
But instead we let unwanted words and deeds to enter into God's Holy temple . We want what we percieve to be 'our desires' for 'our lives' to be fulfilled... We forget that we are His... This life in this world is temporary.... We are working for the Lord of Lord, the King of Kings... He is the great I AM.
Want to know while we wallow in our own selfish thoughts what is God's plans and desire for us ?
We read in John 14 : 12-14 ""“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If you ask anything in My name, I will do it"
In His Name...In His Name....
May our every thought,word and deed be acceptable in His sight and be in accordance with His Holy will.

Keep Meditating ...Keep Walking
"and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest),that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho"

How many of us believe that God's timings are perfect ? :) Amen !! Sometimes infact more than often, we tend to worry and get anxious for no reason...but then when we begin to wait on the Lord and watch His perfect plan unfold in our lives we go "Wow ! Praise the Lord ! ". Ever thanked God that He didnt answer all of our prayers ? :) I have !! I thank God that He doesnt give us everything we asked for..rather when we say "In accordance with Your Holy Will" we have His higher plan come to pass in our lives.
In this passage in Joshua, we see that the river Jordan posed as a problem for the people, if they had to get over to the other side. And the Bible says that at that specific period of time was when the banks overflowed with water ! Now the Lord didnt just make the river disappear without a trace or He didnt cause it to dry up way beforehand and then tell the people that "Its all dried up now ...Now you can go".....
No no no.... But He led them till a point where the soles of their feet touched the water.... and then the waters which came down from upstream stood still and rose in a heap !! Praise the Lord !
Many at times we want our barriers and problems to just disappear that we see no trace of it.... However we need to understand that under every circumstance we walk by faith and not by sight.... When we know we are walking as per the will of the Lord, then it doesnt matter what may seem to lie ahead...we just keep walking... And it might even come to a point where our feet get a lil damp with the water....But the Lord will never let anything overcome us as long as we put our trust in Him.... As we continue to walk leaning on Him , He will cause the waters to rise up as a heap and the dry ground to appear.
We read in Joshua 1 : 8-9 , ""This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”"

We are the Body of Christ
"“Or what woman, having ten silver coins,if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?"

We are the body of Christ ... When we join together as believers in Christ every Sunday its not just another "To Do" event in our calendar... We are joining together as the body of Christ .
Most of us know the Parable of the Lost coin... There was a woman who had with her ten silver coins and one of them got lost... Now she did not just glory in the nine coins that she had...but she was burdened for the one that was lost...And she lights a lamp, sweeps the house and searches carefully until she finds it.
We as the body of Christ need to have a similar burden for those who still dont know Christ as their personal Saviour. We ought not to just glory in the number of members of our church or how great our choir sounds or how many care cells we have ... no no no... We need to be burdened for the lost out there...
Are we burdened for the lost ? Do we get down on our knees in one accord for them ? Are we burning bright and sweeping and searching for them ?

His Fingers of Love
“But now, O LORD,
You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.”
Isaiah 64:8 (New King James Version)
Wondering if you are reading yesterday’s mail? Nope ! This is the verse for today as well .Ever seen a potter working on the clay ? His fingers carefully shaping and molding it….
Here is what the Lord is teaching us today …. Look at any clay pot or clay jar closer…. Bring it up close and look at it carefully ….. what do we see ? Is it totally smooth ? No…. We see these thin lines/streaks across it . You know what causes it ? The Master’s hands ! As His fingers sweep across , His patterns get embedded in us…His very nature is in us….
And that’s exactly what the Lord is teaching us today… That as He works in us , His very nature gets engraved in us….
The loving Fingers of our God shape us and His patterns form us…. Just try and picture that for a moment….God working on us and His finger patterns just sweeping across every area of our lives… Wow ! How loving is our Father!
The Oneness that the Father desires of us ….. Are we longing for the same ? The Lord wants to work in us and have His way in us and not just that …But have His very nature embedded in us…That when people look at us they see the hands of God at work !!
Let every barrier of stubbornness, self reliance and pride be broken this day…. Let us submit to have the Lord engrave His very nature in our lives….

We are the Clay !
"But now, O LORD,

We are the clay, and You our potter;

Im sure we have all heard this so many times.... But this is something specific that the Lord has laid on myheart to share in the morning.
Before we met the Lord and accepted Him as our Saviour we were this hard lump of unused mud. But now that we have accepted the Lord and let Him in , He is working on us.
Now we need to remember that as the Lord is working on us and moulding and shaping us , now is when we need to be more careful of what we let into our lives. The slightest breeze can bring a wave of dust, sticks, stones onto us... And that can change a lot .... However if we keep allowing ourselves to be shaped by the Master's loving hands then He protects us and even if something comes (only if He permits it) you can be sure that He will take care of it.
But we need to understand the impact and seriousness of consciously letting that one unwanted thought, that one unwanted word in our lives....
The Master is shaping us ...Lets not let filth ruin His work.

Anyone been wondering why your inbox didnt have the 'Verse for the Day' email pop up this past week ? My apologies, been really tied up with the Vacation Bible School (VBS) at church (this was my first time teaching at VBS). It was such a blessing . Being able to minister to kids actually takes a lot out off you . I have such high respect for those who are involved in children's ministry. They are the most creative and patient people one can find :)
Here is what the Lord has laid in my heart.... His amazing unfailing love !
Time and time again we tend to put so much hope in those around us and less in God... Do you know how much the Lord loves us ? The Bible says that the Father loves us as much as He loved Christ !! Wow ! Can u imagine that ? Such an unimaginable love is what the Father has for us !! But what do we have for Him ?
During this week since I was so busy with VBS I wasnt able to do a lot of things and even my personal meditation time got a lil disrupted. Then the Lord was teaching me "What if I got too busy ??" .... I couldnt even imagine a fraction of a second without the Lord.
Our Lord is forever faithful...He is never too busy for us....Anything can happen but He always has time for us ! How can we let ourselves get too busy for the Lord ? Sometimes its easy to give an excuse saying "Oh the Lord knows my heart...Its ok If I dont spend time daily with the Lord" ....What if the Lord told us the same "Oh its ok...He/She knows Im God...its ok if I dont listen to them for the next few hours/days"
The word of God clearly states the heart's desire of our Lord "And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one" ...
That we may be one with Him !!
Are we too busy to spend time with the Lord ?? Is our desire the same as the Lord's ? To be one with Him, To Abide in Him and He in us.

Its a small game wherein we hide clues all around and each clue leads to the next clue which eventually leads to the hidden treasure.And when we were playing nothing could be more important to us than finding the treasure. It was our very purpose :)
The Bible says that in Christ are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge ! Do we seek Him with our everything ? Is He our every purpose ? The word of God and His Spirit has been given to us .... They draw us closer to Him... Are we using what God has blessed us with to draw nearer to Him ?
The word of God says in Luke 12:34 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"
Have we made Christ our treasure ? Lets examine our hearts ... Are we drawing closer and closer to Him with every passing moment ?

What is your "thirty pieces of silver" ?
"Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver"

Growing up I always pondered about why Judas would do such a thing just for some pieces of silver... I mean here is a man who walked with Christ...he had seen and witnessed the power of God... with his very own eyes he had seen the Lord do so many miracles... he had heard the word being spoken... How could he have done so ?
Then I realized that I was no better than Judas... Sure I didnt betray Christ for thirty pieces of silver...But I did for other things.... I would choose to work 20 hours in a day and spend 2 minutes with the Lord... I would choose to talk on the phone for hours and yet would not read His word... I betrayed Christ in my choices...In what I chose more valuable to me , more important to me than being in the presence of our God.
Praise the Lord that our Father is so patient and so forgiving. He is merciful.
However we need to understand that its time to change ! Its time to draw closer to the Lord and live for Him.
I heard a wonderful message last week where the emphasis was on the following verse from Hebrews 10 :26-29 " For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?"
We all have received the knowledge of truth. Are we still sinning willfully ??? If so its time to change...Not tomorrow but today ...now...

Being Humble...

I remember reading this quote in the newspaper "Humilty is a strange thing ...The Moment you think you have got it you have lost it " :)
The Bible says that God gives grace to the humble !
The word of God says we need to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. The Lord taught me that if we are to be humble that also shows that we are to be patient and completely trusting in God and God alone. Because we are saying "Lord I know nothing...But I know you are my everything and my life is in Your hands"...So its not our thoughts or what we think is right ...but what He thinks and what He wills.
Now there are circumstances that might come up , when even though we do what is right in the sight of the Lord that people talk evil or falsely about us.But the Bible says from our good conduct in Christ they will be put to shame. And you know what , when people question the hope thats in us the Bible says we should be ready to share it with meekness and fear. We read in 1 Peter 3: 15-16 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed"
This is the word that the Lord is giving us this morning ...Being humble and meekness ! Letting the Lord lead the way and we letting Him have His way in our lives. And when we do that , the Lord will exalt us ! When ? In due time !!! :)
So dont be anxious dont be burdened...I remember a wonderful man of God once said "some of us are so stingy that we dont even give the Lord our burdens and anxieties"... Lets cast all our cares upon Him for He cares for us.

The Lord has been leading me to wake up much earlier than I usually do and spend more time with Him. Before I go to bed I am confident that I will wake up ...but in the morning as I open my eyes and look at the time I think "I anyway wake up pretty early for the Lord...why that extra earlier hour today? lemme get some sleeeep"
I guess the Lord patiently waited for a week and then hit me really hard with this verse this morning "And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You"...In otherwords "There is nothing that I desire besides YOU ". And I felt sooooooooooo bad !! I mean I desired sleep over the Lord !
Anyone else feel the same ? :) There are so many times that we let other things take priority over our God.
Its so easy to say "Lord I love you and you are my highest priority" but its a whole different thing to put it down in action.
We see in verse 26 that the Lord is to be the strength of our hearts...The literal translation of the word strength in this context is ROCK ! God is the one solid immovable always definite certain portion of our heart ! And He alone is to be our portion forever.
Its time that we examine ourselves and our lifestyles .... Does our lifestyles and our every action shout out "There is nothing on earth that I desire besides You Lord"
It can be anything .... starting from our vocabulary that we choose to have rather than one that will be a testimony to our Lord.... to any unwanted thought..laziness.... wrong priorities....indisciplined lifestyles.... addiction......people...work.....
We are to never be confused between whats cool or whats an acceptable excuse or whats common with what is right and acceptable in the sight of our Lord...
I pray that today the Lord convicts us of anything that has crept in to our lives which is not of Him and that takes priority over Him...
May the Lord cleanse us and discipline us so that we can say "Lord there is nothing on earth that I desire besides You"

Are you willing to receive ?
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind"
II Timothy 1:7 (New King James Version)
The very first Bible that my Mom gave me had this verse written in the front page ... My Mom always taught me that the only fear that I need to have is the fear of God. And anything else is because either I have done something wrong or I have become slack in my life with the Lord and hence the devil has found a way in ! :) And its true...Praise the Lord for my Mom .
But thats not what we are talking about this morning.... Im sure all of us have heard this verse...Im sure we all sing songs with lyrics that contain this verse...
Here is a question for everyone ... Do you know why the Lord has given us a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind ?
Its to share the testimony of our Lord ! Its to share the gospel of our Lord !
As we continue reading verses 8-10, " Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles"
The Lord has called us with a holy calling according to His purpose before time began !! And He has equipped us with His grace through our Saviour Jesus Christ
And guess what ? He has given us a spirit of power !! He has given us a spirit of love !! He has given us a spirit of a sound mind !!
We read in Ephesians 6 :12 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places"
The Lord has given us a spirit of power to battle it out and overcome.
We read in 1 Corinthians 13 : 1-3 "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,but have not love, it profits me nothing"
The Lord has given us a spirit of love.
We read in Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You,Because he trusts in You"
The Lord has given us a sound mind (a mind that is stayed on the Lord and on the Lord only !)
Now here is something we all need to realize...This is God's perfect plan...His perfect way... But for us to choose to walk as per His Holy plan is up to us.
Here is another example that I heard once at a fellowship that I love using.... If I took out ten dollars from my wallet and handed it out to you what would you do ? Stretch out your hand and take it from mine !
Its the same... The Lord has given us a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind. Are you willing to stretch out your hand and receive ?

Living Upto Expectations

A lot of times we get hurt , disappointed sometimes even angry when people around us let our expectations down.
How many of us when we are upset or find ourselves in a problem first call up our friends to talk about it ? Or try finding a solution on our own as to what we think is best ?
Here are a couple of things that the Lord has laid on my heart to share....The first being is people will disappoint us... The one person who will never ever disappoint us ?? Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour ! He is ever faithful !
Our expectations are to be of Him and Him alone
My sis and I have these silly arguments at times...It would be for the smallest of things...I would have wanted her to do something and she wouldnt have.... :) This morning as I was driving the Lord reminded me "Ever thought from my view ? "
And I was "...................." (speechless) ... I mean just for a second put yourself (not really possible but just try thinking ) in God's shoes.... So it would be like "You were in Sin...I came down and took up all your sin and shame...I paid the price for you ... I was beaten , spat on ,....nailed to the cross...I took it all because I love you.... I rose again ...I sent you a comforter my Holy Spirit ....I gave you the word of God..... I neither slumber nor sleep...I keep you under the shadow of my wings.... And you complain that you cant find your keys and hence the day I have so wonderfully blessed and given you is a terrible day ???"
How many times do we disappoint our Lord ? How many times do we so easily complain about others when they let us down even for the smallest of things ?
How many times do we give people priority over God ? How many times have we spent hours with our friends but hardly few minutes with the Lord ? And then we wonder "Oh why arent things working out !!! "
Let this be our prayer this morning ...That our expectations be from the Lord and Him alone..people will disappoint but never our God ....That we who are to be in the image of Christ make a conscious effort to not disappoint our Lord... That our soul waits silently for God alone and does not desire or seek anything else/anyone as priority over Him.

Ready to let the Lord Drive ?
"Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?

If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me"

Ever tried to run away from God or felt that you had done something so wrong that God would not look at you again ? Think again !! :)

We read in the beginning of the Psalm 139 in verses 1-4 "O LORD, You have searched me and known me.You know my sitting down and my rising up;You understand my thought afar off.You comprehend my path and my lying down,And are acquainted with all my ways.For there is not a word on my tongue,But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether"
He knows everything !
As we keep reading we see in verse 16 "Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them" Even before our very substance was formed, the Lord already had plans written down for us ! Can you imagine that ?
The Lord has this perfect plan for us... And He is looking at us to seek His will and be obedient to Him...So that His purposes and His perfect plan for us will unravel in our lives for His glory.
Its a choice that we need to make ! ... Do we choose to walk as per His perfect will ? Or do we choose to yield to the ways of the world ?
Are we willing to be used for His glory ? After all, we are His :) He paid the price for us ... He ransomed us by His blood .
Sometimes we tend to think "Lord you are so Holy...Look at me...Im so filthy...would you even think about me ? .... " and we feel so dejected and distant from God.
Some of us go the other extreme and we reach this comfort zone and think we know it all...
The word of God says in verses 17-18 "How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;When I awake, I am still with You"
We cannot begin to fathom the depths of God's love for us ! Or even begin to imagine what He has planned for us.
Here is the key to today's learning " Search me, O God, and know my heart;Try me, and know my anxieties;And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting"
The willingness to let the Lord to work in us !
Are we willing to surrender ourselves to the Lord completely ? Are we ready to dwell in the presence of God and have Him search us...Have Him remove every wicked way in us ? Are we willing to have Him truly be Lord and Saviour of our Lives ?
Here is an example that I like to use a lot... Imagine your life is a car ! Its like saying "Ok God you can drive the car but I will steer and choose where to go and when to brake and when to accelerate !! I will choose who I allow to get in to the car ! "
Doesnt make much sense does it ? The same applies to our lives... Its not enough saying "Lord you are Lord and Saviour of my life" and then we go about doing whatever we want whenever we want. We need to give the Lord complete control over our lives... Total surrender ! Everything and anything that is not of the Lord lets not let it get in !

Day and Night !!

I remember as a kid I had a dream that I was eating this very specific icecream and just relishing every bit of it. And when I woke up thats all I could think about !! :) I took my cycle and headed all over trying to get it ... And I didnt stop until I got it and happily sat on the sofa and went "Yum !!!"
Its funny how the things we dream can have such an impact on the rest of our day ! And this can be good or bad ! A lot of the times the events that happened during the day or a movie/ad that was watched tend to trigger off thoughts in our head that affect so much of our thoughts as we dream/sleep. And these eventually have their after effects for the rest of the day.
Here are couple of aspects that the Lord has put in my heart to share this morning ...
The first being the need to guard our hearts and minds 24*7 ! Even when we are sleeping our thoughts should be inline with the word of God and should be acceptable in His sight. Before we go to bed we need to commit ourselves in total surrender to the Lord so that nothing defiles His Holy temple which is us ! The Body is the temple of God. And by entertaining unwanted thoughts we are defiling the temple of God.
The second is that as believers our desire to grow in the Lord should be such that we long to meditate in His law night and day !! Even as we sleep we need to yearn that the Lord will speak to us ! That His word will dwell so deeply within us .... that our spirit is in constant communion with the Lord. Think of all that time thats spent in sleep , can instead be spent with the Lord ! All we need to do is desire for the same and ask the Lord to reveal His will , His word to us even if we are sleeping...
We read in Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams,Your young men shall see visions"
Wow ! Now thats something to desire for !
Let our very delight be in the law of the Lord ! And in His law may we yearn to meditate day and night

A lot of the times the events that happened during the day or a movie/ad that was watched tend to trigger off thoughts in our head that affect so much of our thoughts as we dream/sleep. And these eventually have their after effects for the rest of the day.
Here are couple of aspects that the Lord has put in my heart to share this morning ...
The first being the need to guard our hearts and minds 24*7 ! Even when we are sleeping our thoughts should be inline with the word of God and should be acceptable in His sight. Before we go to bed we need to commit ourselves in total surrender to the Lord so that nothing defiles His Holy temple which is us ! The Body is the temple of God. And by entertaining unwanted thoughts we are defiling the temple of God.
The second is that as believers our desire to grow in the Lord should be such that we long to meditate in His law night and day !! Even as we sleep we need to yearn that the Lord will speak to us ! That His word will dwell so deeply within us .... that our spirit is in constant communion with the Lord. Think of all that time thats spent in sleep , can instead be spent with the Lord ! All we need to do is desire for the same and ask the Lord to reveal His will , His word to us even if we are sleeping...
We read in Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams,Your young men shall see visions"
Wow ! Now thats something to desire for !
Let our very delight be in the law of the Lord ! And in His law may we yearn to meditate day and night

The Word of God
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart"

Ever wondered why its so important to have the word of God deeply rooted within us ? Because it is the Word that overcomes the evil one...Because its by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God that we live by.... Because the Word of God is living and powerful ...
We read that the word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword,piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow !! Imagine that !!
We also read that the word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart !! Im sure a lot of us have found ourselves waking up all cranky at times...or just get into one of those moody moods and we dont know why...or when small things seem to get on our nerves or disturb us for no reason....
Want the solution to all of this ? We need to spend time with the Lord ! We need to read His word ! His Word is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart ! Have any unwanted thoughts and desires ? When we fill our hearts with His word anything that is not of the Lord cant stay there ! It flees away !
Ever had a friend who asked you for advice ? Feed him/her the word of God ! You cant go wrong there ! Let the word of God be our guide ! we read in Psalm 119:105 that "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path"
Need Direction ? Lets Look to His Word .

Get ready to clean up !
" All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying:
“ Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”"
Revelation 7 : 11-12 (New King James Version)
The Lord placed these three words in my heart while I was sleeping "Heart", "Mud" , "Dig". And I was like "Lord what does that mean?" And this is what I learnt ... Our hearts like mud are where the Lord plants His word...Now while the Lord is working within us , we need to understand that a lot of digging,tilling gets done...and its not always a pleasant experience.....all stones need to get thrown out , all weeds need to be uprooted , and then only the seeds can be sown. We may not realize that the Lord is working for our good...but the Lord is telling us today ...He is in the process of refining and purifying us... So lets not grumble !!
Now we need to understand that there is a period where nothing gets seen until what is sown sprouts above the surface. That doesnt mean nothing is happening. Lets be patient
Now even as we begin to grow that doesnt mean we are free from anything going wrong...Weeds still come up...the ground still needs to be watered...certain areas will still require tilling and digging .... Its a continous process... Lets never get to a stage where we think we are can stand on our strength or that we have grown enough and dont need the Lord's correction upon our lives...
Here are some of the stones and weeds that the Lord specifically wants me to share today ...
-->Ungratefulness
-->Idle words of our mouth that speak curses,condemnation upon ourselves and those around us
-->Judging others and thinking we know whats right and who's who ...
-->Relying on our own wisdom, understanding and strength
-->Seeking self praise and glory for ourselves !
We read in Revelation 7:11-12 that the very theme of heaven is acknowledging the sovreignty of our God !
That all
--> Blessing
-->Glory
-->Wisdom
-->Thanksgiving
-->Honor
-->Might
-->Power
be to our God forever and ever ! Lets not touch what belongs to God ! Lets not be so full of ourselves that we forget who God truly is ! He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords ! He is the Alpha and the Omega ! The first and the last !
Lets surrender to the Lord so that all stones and weeds of self wisdom , seeking self glory,.ungratefulness be dug out and uprooted.. When God blesses us that we dont think that its because of our might ,power or strength....
Lets pray that we remember "Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen."
