Dwelling in the secret place of the Most High

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. “

Psalm 91: 1 (New King James version)

I looked up the dictionary for the meaning of the word Dwell. And here is what came up , “to live or stay as a permanent resident; to live or continue in a given condition or state “. Wow ! To Dwell in His presence ! Imagine that . That is what we ought to be doing. Forever just dwelling in Him. In all that we do or say its all Him. When we wake up its all Him. Our very first though should me ‘Lord I just cant wait to spend that special time with just You and me.”

We read in Matthew 6:6 , “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to Your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

For those wondering how my day went yesterday , it was fantastic by the grace of God. It so evident that God is in control. I have no words to describe how great the day went. Just imagine flying a plane yourself Vs just having to give God the controls and let Him steer you in the right direction and take you where He wants you to go. In addition to that God has blessed me to step into another year today by God’s grace. Its so amazing.

And this is my prayer as I step into a new year … Lord may I dwell in Your secret place. May I always stay in Your presence and never wander. May I permanently have my heart always drawn to you and to You alone.

You want to know the beauty of His secret place ? Its an open invitation waiting just for us to accept and step in .

I pray that this be our prayer together as brothers and sisters in Christ. May we dwell in the secret place of the Most High. And you know what happens when we do that ? We abide under the shadow of the Almighty !! Wow ! Imagine that ! Living every day and every moment knowing that we are living in accordance to His Holy will , knowing we are under the shadow of the Almighty ! May that be our desire today

To dwell in the secret place of the Most High

Mixed up priorities

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Matthew 6: 33 (New King James version)

Yes a very familiar verse J We’ve read it , we’ve sung it in songs , we know it by heart. Question we need to ask ourselves “Do we live it out?”

When we read the preceding verse we read Jesus telling the people don’t worry about what shall to eat or what shall to drink or what shall to wear . When we go back even further and start reading from verse 25 onwards we read in the latter part of verse 25 “Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” Why do we really put in 200% effort into our work ? Better careers, better money , better living standards… What is this really going to get us at the end ?

Don’t get me wrong. It is good to work hard in our careers, it is good to invest our earnings wisely.. however what is our priority ? Honestly , how many of us woke up this morning with the thought “Wow Lord , another day by Your grace and for Your glory . Here I am . How do you want me to live this day?”

How many of us woke up thinking ‘Oh I need to wake up at this time so that I can do this and this and this… This needs to be sent out by this date ..’ , ‘I need to contact this person for fixing this’ , ‘ I need to go early to take care of that’

How many of us woke up knowing exactly what our bosses or our family expected of us today vs how many of us woke up knowing exactly what God wanted us to do today ?

In my case today I just transitioned into the next day still working . But our God is so amazing . For some reason I glanced out through the window and saw the gentle snow fall and went “Lord you are awesome ! Thank you for this whole new month”. Sometimes even when we get busy He is so loving to gently remind us , its all about Him.

I am right now on a business trip and the past few days have been hectic. And as I prayed this morning , the Lord reminded me that I have been so wrapped up with work that I haven’t been focusing on Him. The best part is this, when we give Him our first and our best everything EVERYTHING everything automatically just falls so beautifully in place. Things which take 5 hours get done in an hour. That’s how amazing our God is. I really wonder why we tend to forget so easily.

The word of God says He knows the things we need even before we can ask of it. So forget about worrying and striving hard for things of the world and in the bargain get our priorities mixed up. May He be truly our everything.

And this is a testimony that the Lord wants me to share for someone… I have a hectic day ahead of me , haven’t slept much the entire night. But then realized whoa .. my priorities have been really messed up these past 3 days. I know how the past few days have gone. I have put in my best effort first and then committed it to God. Its gone good-ok. Today is going to be the reverse. I commit everything to Him. Seek His face, rejoice in His presence and now shall put in my best effort in continuous surrender to Him. I know its gonna be a victorious day ! His word is living and powerful ! Will update you on the day when I get back from work :-)

God Bless

Do we seek Him?

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”

Psalm 32: 8 (New King James version)

Picture this with me… (I love using the tortoise and hare illustrations). There is an obstacle course race conducted by God . And God talks to the tortoise and the hare and says ‘here is a staff each . Now go and if you ever need anything just ask and I’ll help you’. The hare as always zooms ahead and reaches a big rock on his path. He uses the staff God gave him and moves the boulder. And he is all happy . The hare asks God ‘ok what next ?’ and God gives Him couple of huge and heavy wooden planks. And as the hare gets the wooden planks he sees the tortoise slowly coming up the road having moved his boulder too. And so he zooms ahead with the wooden plank. Minutes later he finds the planks really heavy and starts saying “God doesn’t know what he is doing. Why should I have to carry this ? I would have gone way ahead if I didn’t have these. What’s the point of all of this !’. And as he keeps running he wonders if he should ask God or not what to do next. He sees a board “Shortcut ’ and sees others strolling around happily without the weight of the planks. He thinks “I can make it without this’ and he runs leaving the planks on the side of the road. The tortoise on the other hand diligently carried the planks. He asked God ‘Lord I know its heavy , but you gave it for a reason. Show me what I should do’. God hands him nails , a hammer and a rope. The tortoise thinks “Hmmm I asked God , I thought it would get lighter, but its gotten heavier instead..but lets obey the instructions after all who else knows the race better than God’. As he goes ahead the tortoise sees a river the only way to go to the finish line. He uses all that God gave him , builds a raft and sails happily to the finish line. As for the hare ? He never made it to the finish line. After all , there’s only One Way !

Couple of things …
· God is always ready with open arms to instruct us and teach us in the way that we should go. Do we seek Him ?
· You cant use the staff given yesterday for the needs of today. God might be having some planks for you instead ! :- ) Every step of the way His guidance and His instructions are beautiful. Don’t rest on Sunday’s prayers and anointing to get you through till next Sunday. Its an every moment surrender and yielding and seeking Him. Don’t miss what God has to tell you today !

. He designed the entire universe . He is the Alpha and the Omega. He knows best ! If you have surrendered completely to Him and if He allows something and takes you along a path you don’t understand , its ok. Lean not on your own understanding ! Proverbs 3: 5-6 , “Trust in the LORD with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He shall direct your paths."

God Bless

Taste all the way

“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”

Psalm 34:8 (New King James version)

I love ice cream. When the weather is cold , I feel like eating ice cream all the more J One of my favorite ice creams are the ones which surprise you with a chocolate bar in the middle. Its like ‘where did that come from ! ‘ Yummy double flavored ice cream with two layers and an even more yummier centre :)

Now here is the interesting part, if I just showed you the bar of ice cream , you would just see the layer on top which is yummy. But you gotta dig deeper ! The more you get through the first layer you reach a whole new flavor which is yummier . And it doesn’t end there … the more you go on there is more.

Knowing God and growing in His word is a little like that. Our God and His word is just so indescribable. So many infinitely wonderful flavors. Here is the thing, don’t stop at just the top layer ! Dig deeper ! Draw closer to Him every day !

Now say for example if you had just had only a taste of the top layer and I said describe the ice cream to me , and then to another I ask him to take a full bite of all the layers and then describe it to me. I would get two totally different descriptions.

So is our walk with Christ . Oh , taste and see that the Lord is good !

Psalm 42: 1 , “As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.” Its not about “oh I spend half an hour in His presence that’s enough” , “oh I spend an hour every day’ ‘Oh I spend 5 minutes”… No no no , its not about that. Its about every cell in your body crying “wow I cant wait to read His word … “, “Lord in everything I see Your hand” , .. its about in everything our heart cries out in love and adoration to the Lord most High. Its not about having spent ‘sufficient’ time in His presence . Its about realizing no matter how much time we spend it is never sufficient . He is the Lord of lords, the Alpha and Omega. How can we sit back and describe Him as vanilla ?

The more we grow closer to Him, the more we taste and see how amazing He is … the more our soul longs for Him. Its about personally experiencing Him in every aspect and every moment of our life. And the more we do that , we learn to surrender truly all to Him ! ALL !

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

God Bless

Just ask

“So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him , “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.”

Matthew 20: 32-33 (New King James version)

I had just parked my car in my sister’s office and was waiting for her to come . I had driven through quite a stormy rain to get there. She had a test the next day and wanted to reach home a little early. I was thinking to myself , “We are going to take 2 hours easily to reach home !” . I had seen the traffic, the flooded roads and the torrential rain on my way over there. I was like “Lord , she wants to get home early and now this is an impossible task… its going to take us hours to get home.” You should have seen the traffic , it was bumper to bumper stand still traffic along with rain pouring down like buckets of water splashed against your windshield. And at that moment I heard a gentle voice ,” why don’t you just ask “.

Its little strange , we know God can work wonders. But when it comes to standstill traffic that we have just seen with our eyes it seems impossible to even ask Him of it . I had forgotten that our God who parted the red sea, can also work wonders with city traffic .

The strangest thing happened after I asked God to get us home early. From the time we started , the rains stopped , we had minimal traffic jam and 80% of the way we were cruising through . And these are areas that are generally so jam packed, and I had just driven down most of the same roads just to get to her office ! We reached in 45 minutes . A journey which on any other day takes me an hour and a half ! Praise the Lord ! And from the moment we stepped into the house the rains resumed.

Sometimes we just don’t ask!

We read in Matthew 20 : 29-34 that as Jesus was passing by two blind men cried out to Him. While the multitude warned them to keep quiet they started shouting even more louder “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

Here is the interesting part , Jesus asks them “What do you want Me to do for you?” . You would think its obvious . They are blind men , of course they want to be healed. Jesus knew they wanted to be healed . The point is did the blind men have the faith to confess what they wanted in the midst of people who disregarded them.

It didn’t matter how silly they looked or how impossible it sounded . They said it out loud ‘Lord that our eyes may be opened’ . And Jesus healed them .

Have faith just ask ! We serve a loving compassionate Father. Is there a need on your heart today ? Just ask ! Lift it up to Him and have Him work on it .

God Bless

We are on His side now

“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”

I Corinthians 15:55 (New King James Version)

Do you know when you would ask such a question ? When you have total confidence about where you are. Imagine this, you have one person chasing you and you are running running running. And as you run you see your friends up ahead with 10,000 military troops with all their armored trucks and weapons. Now you stand with the entire troop and look at the person chasing you . I am sure you would go “HA HA! Now what are you going to do !! “

We read in verse 56 , “The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.” Jesus conquered it all on the cross !! We read in Romans 6: 14, “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” Wow ! We get to look sin straight in the face and say ‘you have no dominion over me !!’

While temptation to sin always lurks around like a lion waiting to pounce we need to understand the reality here … Christ conquered it already on the cross. Freedom is ours. The devil is a liar . He will trick you into bondage and fill your head with lies like there is no hope for you , you are forever lost in this sin. Tell him ‘Sin has NO dominion over me !! I am under grace ! “ This is the living word of God !!

Know where we are now … ransomed by His blood , saved by His grace , called His own … We are standing on the side of Christ now.

God Bless

Don’t let the world squeeze you into its mold

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Romans 12 : 2 (New King James Version)

I remember reading this on a t-shirt ‘Don’t let the world squeeze you into its mold', I could not help but smile thinking about it. It is so easy to get influenced by the patterns of this world. The weekend is just around the corner, the world says ‘Phew ! Finally weekend to get some rest , relax , watch a couple of movies and chill … probably hang out in a mall and go shopping’. If that is all we have planned for the weekend then we have been influenced by the world.

The word of God says in James 1: 27 , “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” :-)

Have our lifestyles and plans become so conformed to the ways of the world ? I pray that we will submit ourselves completely to Him, every aspect , every moment to Him and by the renewing of our mind we will test everything and only do what is His will which is always perfect and good.

God Bless

We are His workmanship...what are we doing?

“For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”

Romans 1: 26- 27 (New King James Version)

We read in Ephesians 2 : 10 , “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before hand that we should walk in them.” This is what God wants of us. We are His workmanship , created in Him for good works, which he has laid out well before hand and we should walk in those ways.

Romans 1: 25 , “who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” . People exchanged the truth of God for the lie. The truth is we are created in Him for Him ! He has plans and purposes for us for His glory even before time began . He knew us even before our substance was even formed . That is our God. He loves us even before we loved Him. He paid the price for us even though we never loved Him. He bore our sin our shame so that we may walk in the freedom of Christ and life Eternal. That is the truth.

The devil is a liar. If you hear a whisper or a scream saying you are worthless , indulge in sin , no body cares for you , it doesn’t matter that you exist , you are a mistake ; ask the devil to be gone in Jesus name. He is a liar. You are a chosen priesthood. You are an ambassador of the Most High ransomed by the blood of Jesus Christ and called His own.

Men and women have given themselves up for unnatural desires . Using what God has given for unnatural purposes. This is not of God. Its time to turn to Him. All it takes is just lifting your heart to Him and He will set you free. John 8 : 38, “”Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

We read in Romans 1 : 28-32, “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them

Backbiters , disobedient to parents, unforgiving, proud….. Knowing the righteous judgment of God yet what is it that we still do ? The word of God says that those who practice such things are deserving of death. Wait ! Not just those who practice it but also those who approve of those who practice them !!!

If we approve of those who practice sin we bear the same judgment ! Don’t just close your eyes and say ‘Oh I am ok if you do what you do . I just wont do it.” – that’s not right. Do not approve of those practicing sin. We are called to be light bearers to bring them out of the darkness by His and for His glory. Do not condemn the person , condemn the sin.

God created us in Christ Jesus , we are His workmanship created for good works that He has prepared before hand that we should walk in them. This is what we ought to be doing. Anything else is against this.

What are we doing ?

God Bless

Hang on ... Its coming

“Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.”

Matthew 15:28 (New King James Version)

Hang on … its coming . Continue to hang on to Jesus not letting your faith sway even a little and you will see the glory of God !

A lot of times we come into His presence say a quick prayer , decide that ‘nope God did not tell me anything today’ and then walk away. We read in Matthew 15 from verses 21-28 of a woman who was persistent.

We read in verse 22 “And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.””. But she did not receive a response. Then the disciples came and urged Jesus to send her away. Imagine that . You come with a heart that’s crying out expecting a miracle and this is what you receive. We read in verses 24-27 about the conversation that took place between Christ and her “But He answered and said, “ I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Then she came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their master’s table.”

She humbled herself to that of little dogs eating off crumbs that fall from their master’s table. Wow ! That’s persistent faith. That’s holding on and hanging on to Christ. That’s knowing no matter how even desperate things around you may seem but you will continue to hang on to Him waiting for His miracle.

Verse 28 “Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.” She held on , she received the miracle she was waiting for . And her testimony of faith is recorded in the word of God !

I pray that we hang on to Him not allowing anything to deter us. I pray everyday when we seek His face we will not get up and go just as a routine , but we will hang on to Him and seek Him with a heart that will not let go but will hold on to Him with all that we are in complete surrender and humility.

God Bless

To him who overcomes

“So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.”

Acts 16: 31-33 (New King James Version)

Temptation comes in various forms… it might be the temptation to lose your temper , temptation to think or do immoral acts , temptation to give into something not of God , temptation to murmur ….

We have been called to Overcome ! When faced with temptation , what do we do ? Its like a struggle … the flesh says go ahead indulge … the Spirit says No ! Obey the Lord . A lot of us face that battle when faced with temptation. How do we overcome ? By keeping our mind set on Him and knowing to those who overcome , we will see His glory revealed.

We read here in Acts 16 from verses 16-34 that Paul and Silas drove a demon out of a girl. We read in verses 20-24 , “And they brought them to the magistrates, and said, “These men, being Jews, exceedingly trouble our city; and they teach customs which are not lawful for us being Romans, to receive or observe.” Then the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore off their clothes and commanded them to be beaten with rods. And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely. Having received such a charge, he put hem into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.

Paul and Silas were faced with a lot of temptation. Picture yourself in their position. Being accused by people , being humiliated , being beaten up with rods in public , being thrown into prison. What would you have done ? Paul and Silas could have cursed the people – but they overcame wrath and anger when wrongly accused . When humiliated in public having had their clothes torn off – they overcame the temptation of questioning God’s will and plan. When beaten by rods and thrown into prison – they overcame the temptation of following their own plans to get out of this , they overcame the temptation of giving up , they overcame !

We read in verse 25 they were praying and singing hymns to God . We have a good cozy sleep , wake up in the comforts of our homes and still yet do not pray. Its no wonder that we struggle when faced with temptation.

Paul and Silas overcame and overcame and overcame by His grace . And as we keep reading we see it led to God revealing His glory . The very foundations of the prison were shaken .. And not just that , we read that several were baptized and came into the knowledge of His saving grace !

Wow! to him who overcomes ! I love the book of Revelation , I would encourage you to read from chapters 1-3 today and understand what lies in store for those who overcome.

God Bless

Give it up and be ready to be filled

“But to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved Hannah, although the LORD had closed her womb. And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the LORD had closed her womb.”

I Samuel 1 : 5-6 (New King James Version)

We read that Elkanah had two wives, Hannah and Peninnah. Now Peninnah had sons and daughters but Hannah had no children. And whenever the time came for Elkanah to make an offering he would give a portion to her and to all her children. But to Hannah he would give a double portion !

To Elkanah it did not matter whether Hannah had children or not. He loved her . While Hannah knew this though her heart was still miserable as she focused on what others said. We read in verse 6 that Peninnah would taunt her regarding her bareness. And Hannah would be miserable to the point of weeps and not eating . Storing that grievance up.

We read in verse 8 Elkanah tells her “Then Elkanah her husband said to her, “Hannah, why do you weep? Why do you not eat? And why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

Sometimes , in fact quite a lot of times we tend to be like that. We get grieved over things that really shouldn’t matter. When people ask , “Oh you are still single” , “Oh you have not bought a house yet” , “oh you still have that old bike “ , “oh you still have not gotten promoted”, “Oh you still….”

God is asking us isn’t He much better than ALL of that put together ?

We sing it in our songs , we say it out loud , but there are times when our heart does forget that the love of our Father is much greater than anything that this world has to offer. Do not be grieved.

When we read through the verses till verse 18 , we see Hannah poured out herself before the Lord . She emptied herself out before Him. And we read in verse 18 that she went her way and ate and her face was no longer sad. And it is only after this that we read from verses 19 onwards that she conceived a child !

Sometimes we fill ourselves up with so much of grievance, unforgiveness , bitterness , our plans , our thoughts … that there is no space for anything that God wants to put !. May we empty ourselves out before Him and let Him fill us up. Throw out the garbage and everything foul smelling . And watch Him cleanse us and transform every aspect for His glory and we will be a sweet smelling aroma to Him.

God Bless

Something wonderful is coming up

“For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.”

Philippians 1 : 19-20 (New King James Version)

A month or so ago I was thinking to myself and said ‘Lord , I would love to spend 24*7 in your work… I do not want to go to office’. This was the reply “Why do you leave Me out of your work?”

A lot of us have demarcated certain aspects of our life . In my example I knew God was blessing me in my work place , I knew He would open doors to minister to people but there were so many other aspects that I did not think would really matter . Like the hours I spent reading up on various segments or the hours I spent with writing proposals or giving demos. There were many days that I would feel like Lord I just want to quit.

I pray the Lord will touch our hearts to receive this message – Do not leave God out of any aspect of your life.

I know I am where God wants me to be. And I love the way He teaches and leads us. Couple of weeks ago as I was doing my work , the Lord led me to write a song. I picked up the pen and wrote the lyrics He placed on my heart, I quickly recorded the tune on my phone before I forgot it. Praise the Lord ! Office work doesn’t mean He is not a part of it. Cooking doesn’t mean He is not a part of it ! Cleaning up your room doesn’t mean He is not a part of it .

He is to be magnified in all that we do ! Our very being is for Him to be magnified

Paul writes in verse 21 ‘For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.’ . Wow ! TO LIVE IS CHRIST !

It does not matter what you are going through , be it work pressure , tough circumstances … remember that when we surrender all to Him knowing its all about Him He will work something so wonderful for His glory

Paul was in chains time after time , yet He knew God was working wonders through this. We read in the earlier verses that the people grew bolder in preaching Christ ! Wow. Verses 12-14 , “But I want you to know, brethren, that things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; and most brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

God Bless

Through the Lord's mercies

“Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:22-23 (New King James Version)

Picked up the newspaper as usual in the morning to grab a quick glance at the headlines. It doesn’t matter which part of the world we may be in , but the news headlines have disaster after disaster to report. Over dinner last night we were watching the discovery channel and saw this documentary of a town being ravaged by floods from a storm. The roads were flooded with water and mud flowing with fury. The cars we being swept away and toppling over in the water. Whatever people had held dear had just vanished in a second… buildings collapsing , homes being swept away by the strong currents. Its amazing isn’t it …with all the technology that man has acquired and calls himself self sufficient , all it takes is for God to allow a storm and everything vanishes !!

Every breath that we take is by His grace and mercy. Its like God even carefully filters out the air that we breathe and lets it go into us so that unwanted germs stay out of system. His protection is amazing.

We all woke up this morning with different things running in our minds… as the day started off and as we reach our offices and colleges and schools or send people off to their offices, a lot of things might have happened.. but let nothing ever make us lose out on what this day is really about… its about Him. He has protected us and blessed us to see this day. He is faithful and loves us no matter how badly we fall short of the mark.

May our hearts be tuned to Him. He is merciful and compassionate even when we don’t deserve it. He is faithful even when we are not. And may His grace , mercy and faithfulness be reflected in the life that we lead.

God Bless

Damaged Goods

“But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5: 8 (New King James Version)

Picture this… I bring before you this really really broken down car , with the wheels missing , the sides all dented , the entire car rusty, the bumpers falling apart, and the engine does not work. And I tell you , you can have this car for not just the max. retail price… no no no… I tell you I will give you this car , if you give me everything you’ve got ! How does that deal sound ?? Crazy right !!?

Many at times I cant help but wonder ‘Wow Lord , You bore all that humiliation , all that suffering , You died on the cross and You got me in return ? ! “ That’s the strangest deal ever ! When I go to a shop to pick up anything , say a shirt for my brother , I check it all well to make sure there are no tears , no stitches coming loose , no stains… and then I make the payment .

Isn’t our Father amazing ? When He looked at us and decided to pay the price for us when we weren’t perfect … we weren’t stain free all white as snow ! Nope , we were damaged goods. But yet He paid the price and ransomed us by His blood ! Such love is just too wonderful for us to comprehend.

If you are thinking today ‘My life does not make sense ‘ ,’Im not worth anything ‘ , ‘Im damaged goods’ understand this – God has plans for you … Plans so beautifully ordained for you that He decided to pay the price for you.

We read in II Corinthians 5: 21 , “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him”.

I pray that every day we will surrender and submit our lives to Him for His plans to be fulfilled in our lives. Not what we think we want or need to have. But what plans He has for us. He paid the price knowing the paths that He intends us to walk in. I pray we will learn to obey

In His Image

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Genesis 1 : 27 (New King James Version)

Growing up with my brother who is 7 years elder to me has been a rather interesting journey. He is a blessing to me and I thank God for him. A lot of times as a kid I would see him doing something and I would think , “well if he can do it , so can I … “ For those of you who have grown up with an elder sibling , especially an older brother I am sure you can relate to this. As I grew up I found myself challenging myself further because of what my brother could do. He played volleyball at a district level , he was popular in school , he was captain for his group… And I would think ‘Hey we share the same genes… so if he can do it …so can I J “. God is gracious and by His grace I played badminton at a state level , like my brother I was awarded the outstanding student at school and graduated school captain. I look at my brother and I see ‘well if he can do it then it must be in my genes too :-) ‘…. I praise God for a wonderful role model he has been in my life. I look at him today and see him as a Pastor and I go wow ! Praise the Lord !

We were created in the image of God. Do we truly understand how we can be ? We CAN be forgiving … we CAN be meek … we CAN be truthful… we CAN surrender all to Him … all by His grace !! We ARE free from the bondages of sin. He made us just like Him J The more we look to Him the more He transforms us …

Jesus Christ is our Savior. We were ransomed by His blood . We are now sons and daughters of the most High. We now have His nature in us. Don’t let the devil tell you otherwise. Be transformed in Him. He is our Father !

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” II Corinthians 3: 17-18

Have we wandered?

“Make me understand the way of Your precepts; So shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.”

Psalm 119 : 27 ( New King James Version)

Coming back to the discussion of being a Christian driver… Couple of days back I was awakened to an interesting realization. My car is always stacked with gospel music and I love listening to music and singing (no one around :-)) as I drive. However as I drove, God stirred up this thought in my heart . Why am I listening to what I am listening ? Yes , its gospel. But then I realized that sometimes my focus has been on the music rather on it coming from my heart. For example , I was cruising down the highway singing on the top of my lungs ‘Blessed be the name of the Lord’ as the cd played. I loved the fast beat , I loved the tune , I loved the fact there was no traffic and I got to sing it ; unfortunately without really meaning the lyrics as I sang. It was just a really cool song that I liked. I went like “Lord when did I get lost on the way !!” Now as I drive its become a prayer… every song a prayer to Him. And its been amazing. He makes the change . He opens eyes and brings understanding.

We read in verse 10 that "With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!” Two words that struck me : 1- WHOLE heart , 2 : Wander !

With our whole heart , that’s the way we ought to seek Him. Its not about the music , its not about the office work I need to do. Its not about what this world expects me to be .. Its all about Him and how He wants me to be. And I need to seek Him with my WHOLE heart.

Notice the word ‘wander’ ? Its like small steps small steps and then suddenly you turn around and realize ‘oh oh I’m lost’ .

We need Him to touch our lives , we need Him to make us understand the way of His precepts and we will meditate on His wonderful works. Today we need to realize that its easy to wander , we need Him to help us understand the ways of His precepts. And that comes from seeking Him.

Verse 28-29 , “ My soul melts from heaviness; Strengthen me according to Your word. Remove from me the way of lying, And grant me Your law graciously.

God Bless

In Every Circumstance ?

“I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.”

Psalm 119 : 15-16 (New King James Version)

Driving in the city I am currently at, can be a little tough … well lets say it requires quite a bit of patience :-) Bikes and vans come within inches of the car and nearly hit the sides of the car in their attempt to over take you and drive ahead. Buses follow something like the law of the jungle ! In this case the bigger the vehicle the more the authority to shove smaller vehicles off the road. Buses cut diagonally across the car and I have to hit the brakes and come to a complete stop and see the bus go zigzag across the road. And if you get stuck in peak traffic hours then it can be a real test of patience as you move inch by inch and in that little gap between you and the other vehicle, a bike or a cycle tries to squeeze their way and in the bargain hit the rear view mirrors, scratches on the side of the door.

It takes a whole lot from me to try and refrain from shouting ‘Dude careful !!’ :-) Here is what the Lord has been gently and lovingly teaching me. Am I a Christian Driver ? Am I truly a follower of Christ even when I drive my car ? Would I be bold enough to stick a bumper sticker ‘I am a Christian Driver’ and would the way I drive be a reflection of that for all to see ?

We are His children ! Its easy to forget that though, when we get focused on the world around us.

I love verse 11 , “Your word have I hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” His word is to be embedded within our hearts. Its to be hidden in our hearts that at any point in time we will not forget His word. Why hide His word in our heart ? That we may not sin against Him.

We read in verses 15-16, “ I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.” This has been my prayer over the last week. That I may not forget His word ! When traffic is crazy or when work gets stressful may I not forget His word.

Circumstances should never dictate who we are . As His children we get to dictate to circumstances :-) He is above every circumstance and every situation. If we will just meditate on His precepts and delight ourselves in His ways , His laws and not forget His word … wow … That’s being a Christian !!

God Bless

Think Again

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”

Ephesians 1: 3-6 (New King James version)

If you woke up this morning thinking , “well here starts another week ! sigh !!” or if you woke up thinking this is just another day think again .

· You have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ
(Can you comprehend the authority and power that you have in Him )
· You have been chosen in Him even before the foundation of the world
(Can you imagine how amazing and how intricately planned are the plans God has for you !)
· You have been chosen to be holy and without blame before Him in love
(We are to be Holy. Have we surrendered ourselves to Him today ? Only He can make us pure)
· You have been predestined to adoption as sons & daughters of the Most High by Jesus Christ
(Have we forgotten the price that was paid for us on the cross ? Have we forgotten who we are?)

And all of this is according to the good pleasure of His will ! It is to the praise and glory of His grace ! Blessed and accepted in Him !

If you woke up this morning thinking that today was revolving around the meetings you had , or the work that needed to be done , or the classes or tests you had to prepare for , think again.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” I Colossians 15-18

Faith in Him ! Do your part and behold His awesome ways

“Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

I Samuel 17:47 (New King James version)

The story of David and Goliath. For those of us who have attended Sunday school, as kids I’m sure this was one of the most exciting passages especially when it came to picking someone to play the part of Goliath :-) A little background to this … The Philistines had gathered their armies together . The Philistines stood on a mountain on one side and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side and there was a valley between them. Now out came Goliath from the Philistines and he challenged Israel to send someone to face him. And he defied Israel. David on the other hand had brought food for his brothers in the Israel army and he heard what Goliath was saying (he had been doing this for forty days morning and evening !). We read what David said in verse 26 , “Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”” Armies of whom ? the living God !! Can you feel the passion of David ? When David said he would fight Goliath , they got him all decked up in an armor… but David was not comfortable with it as he tried walking . So he took off the armor.

Now we need to understand the reality of the situation , here was Goliath nine feet plus in height and totally guarded with a bronze armor and a spear and all. And there is David… a boy in his youth. No armor… Interesting picture right? Most of us know what happens next. David slings a stone and it hits Goliath on the forehead and he falls face down !! And David climbs on him and kills him with Goliath’s own sword. God works wonders

Here is what I want to turn your attention to this morning. We read in verse 40 , “Then he took his staff in his hand; and he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag, in a pouch which he had, and his sling was in his hand. And he drew near to the Philistine.” We read in verse 49 that David put his hand in his bag and took a stone and he slung it. It took just one stone to kill Goliath . But David had carried five stones !

David knew just one thing : God will give him victory ! He did not know whether it would take one stone or three or five. He just knew he would go prepared with what he had and the only reason why he would win is not because of what he had but because of God !

Verse 37 , “Moreover David said, “The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, ”Go and the LORD be with you !”

Verse 45, “Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

Verse 47,”Then all the assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s and He will give you into our hands.

Some of us decide not to take a step forward just because we do not know how many stones its going take to kill Goliath. We say “No no … I will not do this until I know God’s plan to the very last detail and then only will I do it.” Or we say “How can I overcome this or how can I pray for this or how can I do this if I don’t know how God is going to do it… what if I don’t have the right number of stones…” Oh we worry too much at times !

The battle is the Lord’s and He will give us the victory ! Will you step out in faith for His name ? Go prepared just as you are and trust in Him ! Its His battle ! We just need to go out in faith ! The Lord will deliver , the Lord will overcome , His victory banner will reign on high !

David did his part of getting the stones (yes he did not have an exact idea of what would happen…but he did his preparation) . And God worked His miracle , His wonder and showed the victory that is in His name.

I pray my brothers and sisters in Christ that we step out in faith in His name !

God Bless

Its all about Him

“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”

Mark 8: 35-36 (New King James Version)

This Sunday as we stood in worship I could not help but notice this little boy… he must be around 7-8 years old. He had his one arm wrapped around his Bible and his other arm raised towards heaven and he was crying , he was pouring his heart out to our Lord and I just prayed “Lord may I always have a heart of worship like that !! Totally devoted to you , simple and pure like a child”. I am blessed with two nephews. The older one wanted a helicopter toy the one with a remote. And I told him I would get it. He did not worry how or when I would get it. He did not try to fit his thinking to mine. He just knew if I said something, I would do it. I remember once when I went up in church to testify , my nephew saw me up front , wriggled away from my mother and came straight up to me as I was testifying and hugged me and stood with me sweetly till I finished and walked back to the seat with me. Aren’t children amazing ? Circumstances around don’t matter to them :-)

Do we have a heart like that when it comes to the Lord ? Or are we busy holding on to the things of the world ? We read that “ For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” What is our desire ? When we are faced with choices to lie , to bribe , to become one with the world …what do we do ? Do we say , “Sorry I am a citizen of heaven and I live by what my King says” or do we say , “Well , if I don’t drink with them and hang out then I wont be considered cool and I wont get promoted !” Do we say , “well its only a class test , its ok to cheat” … “hey everyone cheats on their taxes by giving false bills, so whats the big deal if I do it ?” …. ‘its ok to watch that channel , its ok to pass those kind of comments … everyone does it..”

We read in verse 38, “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” First thing we need to understand is we are not of the world. Yes we live in an adulterous and sinful generation where even an advertisement for a bag is tied to adultery. The flesh will try and pull us towards the world. But we are to hold on to Him. It does not matter what the world has to offer. Christ has already given us something priceless. His blood shed on the cross for us. There will come many instances where you say ‘No sorry I cant do that’.. ‘Nope I wont do that’ why ? Because the Bible tells me so :-) share the word with them. Pray for them. They may not always understand. But never hesitate from planting the word of God in their life. The word is living and powerful. God can do wonders.

We read in verse 34,”When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them , “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Its not about the car we need to buy or the house we need to build … its all about Him. If we desire to follow Him , first step deny our self. In other words, things of this flesh get crucified. And we take upon us the things of God and walk where He leads. He is our priority.

And when the world around us tries to pull us towards itself , we take a stand for Him .Do not be ashamed of who we are in Him ! Its all about Him and we live our lives not by what the world says is ok but by what the word of God says. That little boy had a heart lifted up to God in worship. He wasn’t bothered about people around him . It did not matter if he used grammatically correct statements , it probably would not have mattered if I had placed him with all the presidents in the world. Simple childlike worship. Not complicated by the things of the world or circumstances. It simple : I am in the presence of my King and that’s all that matters.

If we find ourselves entangled by the things of the world its time to be set free. Our God is faithful and so patient. He will pluck our feet when we get stuck. We serve an awesome God !

When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them , “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.

He redeems , He restores

“And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.”

John 21: 6 (New King James version)

This verse is taken from the last chapter of the book of John. Does this verse sound familiar ? Before we get into that , here is a little background of the context of the verse. Peter had denied Christ, Christ was crucified , Christ rose and appeared to a few people two times. Peter was deeply saddened by his denying Christ. I mean who wouldn’t be. Picture this … You tell Christ that even if you go to prison or face death you will never deny Christ. And then you actually do deny Him. Not once, not twice, but thrice.

We read in the beginning of Chapter 21 that Simon wanted to go fishing and couple of the other disciples also joined in . We read in verse 3 that they went out and immediately got into the boat and that night they caught nothing. And in the morning Jesus was there standing on the shore and He asks them if they have any food and they answer no. And Jesus says cast the net on the right side of the boat.

Does this sound really really familiar to you ? Turn with me to Luke 5 : 1-11. We read here that Simon and the others had toiled the entire night but had not caught any fish. This was way in the beginning … This was while Simon was still a full time fisherman .

Isn’t the way God restores so amazing. When God called Simon this was the miracle that He did , we read in Luke 5:11 , “So when they had brought their boats to land they forsook all and followed Him.

And now after all that time, after denying Christ, when Peter is feeling so low see how amazing the love of God is. He restores. Can you imagine what must have been racing through Peter’s mind when he heard the words ‘Cast the net on the right side… ‘ and they get a multitude of fish… We read that he plunged into the water :-)

We all make mistakes , most have us have backslidden at one point or the other. If you are feeling low , if you are feeling hurt , if you feel you have disappointed God , know one thing , our God is faithful to restore. He will restore. Will you take that plunge ?

Here is something interesting . We read in Luke 5:6 , “And when they had done this they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
And we read in John 21:11 , “Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three and although there were so many, the net was not broken.

God’s love and His ways are so incomprehensible. When He restores us its just so mind boggling. Such a Holy God looks at us with so much love. His mercies , His forgiveness and His love is just indescribable.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, if you are feeling hurt, disappointed , sad … feel that you have strayed away from God , feel you have hurt Him… know this : He is faithful and loving to restore to a point where we are better than before. We will never be worthy of His love on our own. It is His blood , His love , He calling us His own, that gives us that authority. Its all Him !!

Do not ever doubt the love of God , or think that you have reached a point of no return. Lean not on your understanding. His arms are wide open. He is calling us to restoration ? Are you read to take plunge ?

God Bless

He does exceedingly abundantly

“Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.”

Daniel 6 : 23 (New King James Version)

A little background regarding the context of this verse. Darius had set over the kingdom one hundred satraps. And over these satraps he set three governors. One of these governors was Daniel. We read in Daniel 6: 3,” Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.” So the other governors and satraps tried to find some fault in him. But they could not. So they consulted together and spoke to the king and had him set a decree that for thirty days that people were to petition no god or man but only the king else they would be thrown in the den of lions. Daniel heard about the decree and guess what he did ? He worshipped God in His room as always three times that day. Now the these men went and told the king what Daniel had done. The king was then forced to have Daniel thrown in the den of lions because once the king has passed a decree no one can change it including the king himself. The next morning the king arose and went to the den and Daniel was alive. We read in verse 22 Daniel says ,””My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouth, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also O king, I have done no wrong before you”.

Now picture this… being thrown into a den of lions. Lions prowling all around you … God did more than just shut the mouth of the lions. The lions never even pounced on him , they did not scratch him with their huge paws… there was a lot that could have gone wrong. But God’s protection is so amazing. It goes beyond what we could imagine. We read in verse 23 that there was no injury at all that was found on him . Not even being thrown into the then had any scratches or cuts. I’m sure dens were not well polished and smooth !! God’s protection over the lives of those who trust in Him is so amazing.

As you read this I pray God will stir up a grateful heart within to understand how amazing His protection is over our lives. We read of accidents, burglaries… I’ve heard of people falling from a tiny stool barely half a foot above the ground level but the fall being fatal… Now days someone sneezing can transmit germs which cause fatal death …

We breathe in and breathe out perfectly by His grace ! Praise the Lord ! We can eat and taste the food that God has so graciously provisioned for us. We get to hear and see our family .. such a blessing . And above all … He has blessed us with another day to be lived for His glory . Not for our purposes… but for His purposes. Can you imagine how wonderful the purposes of God is in our lives that He set His protection upon us and willed that we see today ? He protects us from things beyond the natural.

Here is where it gets interesting … we read in verse 24, “And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions— them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.

Even before they could reach the bottom of the then their bones were in pieces .. and these were a whole lot of people. The lions overpowered them. And we just read about Daniel who spent the entire night … and not one scratch. Even if the lions mouth were shut they could have still overpowered him and crushed his bones. There were many lions and only one Daniel. What made the difference ? Our Living God who is above all !! He sends His angels and He sets His protective hedge around us.

Daniel’s primary focus was not His job. It was His God ! I pray that we will lead lives that are of Him and for Him. May the pressures or demand of our work , our colleges, our schools , our loved ones… never ever take the place of our God in our lives. Daniel was a busy man. He had people reporting to him, he had to oversee things happening in the kingdom… but yet His primary focus was God. He prayed and gave thanks on his knees three times. His work was done in a manner that was acceptable in the sight of the Lord.

May our lives be lived for Him. He has blessed us to see this day for purposes of Him . Have we sought Him ? Have we thanked Him ? Are we living our lives for Him ?

God Bless

The steps before do not define the steps ahead

“So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.”

Matthew 14: 29 (New King James Version)

A quick background regarding the context of this verse. Jesus made His disciples get into a boat and go before Him to the other side while He sent the multitudes away. Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them walking on the sea. The disciples got scared thinking it was a ghost. But immediately Jesus spoke to them. And Peter answered Christ saying if it is Him then to command him to come on the water to Him. Most of us know what happens next. Peter sees the boisterous wind and starts to sink. And Christ stretches his arm and catches him and both of them got into the boat.

The day we accepted Christ as our personal Savior we started a supernatural walk. Christ always has His arms wide open and is calling us Come ! And now we as Christians don’t take natural steps of this world. No , we take supernatural steps because every step that we take is taken looking unto Jesus. We do not take any steps any more depending on whether it is logical , whether the world sees it as possible… we take every step directed by the Lord and looking solely to Him.

We read in verse 29 , ” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus” Peter actually got out of the boat and walked on the water to go to Jesus ! Wow !

Some of us however become a little self reliant at times. We take the first few steps on water well and think “wow ! Im all set to take the full walk ..I have enough faith … I’m going to make it through.” We live on the glory of the past few steps to make it through the steps ahead of us ! And that is never going to work. Verse 30 , “ But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying “Lord, save me!”” We need to understand that all it took was that one glance at the wind to bring his supernatural walk down . Do not rely on past glory ! Walking a supernatural walk towards Christ requires us to constantly keep our eyes focused on Him. It about daily surrender and submission to Him. Not a once in a week Sunday pep to get us through the week. No . Its requires daily , constant , every moment submission to Him. We read in Romans 8 : 13-14 , “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.

Some of us have given in to the flesh and have found ourselves sinking. Don’t lose hope. Our God is forever faithful . Even when we fall He is always ready to stretch out His arm and pick us up. Peter cried “Lord, save me!” and we read immediately Jesus stretched out His arm and caught him. Wow ! Picture that. What an awesome God we serve. Just call upon His name and He will answer with an outstretched arm.

God Bless

Faith in the storm

“And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.”

Mark 4: 37 (New King James Version)

My mom had to undergo her 4th Chemotherapy session today. And the doctors tried to find a strong enough vein but each time they tried the vein would swell up like a bubble. They tried this five times and then gave up and said that they would have to perform a surgery with local anesthesia to slit open my mom’s arm and then find a vein and try and insert something there and then stitch her arm back up so that she could undergo the chemo . Well my mom was being prepped for surgery and while this was being done , my sis (cousin in a different city) was praying that the doctor would find a good vein by God’s grace so that my mom would not have to undergo surgery. My mom meanwhile as she was praying felt led to ask God to cleanse her from all unforgiveness and sin . Which she did.

Guess what ? The surgeon kept searching for a good place to make the incision and then he told my mom that they might have to make a cut for a vein near her neck instead !! Not the kind of thing you want to hear !!

We read in Mark 4 : 35 , “On the same day, when the evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.”

The disciples were going the way Christ wanted them to go. They weren’t like Jonah running away from God’s will. They were going where Christ wanted them to go.

And we read n verse 37 that waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling . Imaging that ! Not just scary waves outside the boat , but waves started pouring into the boat and water was rising up !! And even in that circumstance you know what Christ wants us to do ? Have faith ! And His peace will reign !!

Want to take a guess as to what happened to my mom ? Within minutes of having said that statement they found a good strong vein on my mom’s arm strong enough for the Chemo. No surgery nothing !! Wow !! Isn’t our God so amazing ! She underwent her chemo a couple of hours later and my mom and dad are now on their way back home by God’s grace.

Never lose faith ! Our God never fails . He is our faithful God . Sometimes the waves may begin to beat , the boat might begin to sway … the water may even start filling up the boat (my mom was even given the local anesthesia for surgery)… but our God will reign victorious over every circumstance and situation. He is above all ! Nothing is impossible for our God.

As I listened to my sister tell me what happened today and what my mom had said, this is the passage that the Lord reminded me of Mark 11: 22-25, “So Jesus answered and said to them,” Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe you receive them, and you will have them. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

We had a group who lead service this Sunday at our church and this is part of the lyrics of a song they sang. This song really hit home by God’s grace

Chains be broken , Lives be healed
Eyes be opened, Christ is revealed
I have decided….. to wait upon You Lord
My Rock and redeemer , my truth and reward
I’ll wait upon You Lord
And surely as the sun will rise , You’ll come to us
…..let Your glory fall as you respond to us
Spirit run into our thirsty hearts again
We are not shaken , we are not moved
We wait upon you Lord
Our Mighty Deliverer , …
We wait upon you Lord

I pray that we will always wait upon the Lord in total surrender and in faith

God's communication network

“”Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.”

Matthew 6: 8 (New King James Version)

One of the papers that I found interesting to read while studying in college was Mobile Communication. It was fascinating the way how signal areas were divided up into cell spaces/ranges and hence the name cellular communication. We read about why signals drop and how data is transmitted and how data is validated and so forth.

Technology has increased to such an extent that world seems so much smaller than what it was a decade ago. To call someone across continents takes just a couple of button pushes on my phone and voila I can talk to them , I can text them. Mobile deals come with their own exciting plans prepaid , postpaid … Some schemes give you unlimited texts for a certain price, some scheme give you unlimited internet browsing for a certain price… all to keep in touch with friends and family in an instant.

Isn’t God’s communication network amazing ? Someone once told me when I was a kid that God’s phone number is Jeremiah 33:3 , “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” I found it so cool . He is always accessible to us . He is always available to us !

And you know the best part about His plan ? Its free ! He paid the price !! Its unlimited access to Him anytime we want . And there is no concept of networks busy or unreachable in God’s network ! The Bible says call to Him and He WILL answer us . And not just that … not only does He hear us but He will show us great and mighty things which we do not know ! Wow ! Isn’t that amazing .

Now when I call up a friend or family and I feel like sharing something , I gotta bring them up to speed with what’s happening . I need to tell them ‘hey you know what this and this happened..’

We read in Matthew 6: 8 that our Father knows the things you have need of even before you ask Him. When we have a need that’s on our hearts even before our knees have had a chance to touch the ground, even before our lips have uttered a single word God already knows it . Now that’s communication !! How awesome is our Lord Jesus !!

Praise the Lord we are part of the Jesus Christ Plan !! And you know what makes this even better ? You do not get just bonus points when you refer a friend . We read in Daniel 12 : 3 , “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” Wow !

Praise the Lord we are washed by His blood. Praise the Lord He is Lord and Savior of our lives.

God Bless

According to His riches... His Spirit... His Might ! Its all about Him

“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Ephesians 3 : 14-19 (New King James Version)

A lot of us love using this part of the verse ‘Yes God will grant us according to the riches of His glory’ . Unfortunately some of us tend to always use this in the context of materialistic blessings only.

This is such an amazing prayer. God will grant us according to the riches of His glory ! His glory ! We can’t even begin to imagine that . We read in Isaiah 6 : 1-3 , “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: “ Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”” Now check this out… according to the riches of HIS GLORY , that God will grant us to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man !!

Wow ! What an amazing prayer ! According to the riches of His glory that we be strengthened with MIGHT through HIS SPIRIT in the inner man. And it does not stop just there. As we keep reading we see that it goes on to say that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith , that we may be rooted and grounded in love. Wow ! And then that we may understand that we cannot understand the love of Christ as it passes knowledge and that we may be filled with the fullness of God ! All this according to the riches of His glory !!

This needs to be our prayer, for ourselves and for one another. It’s all about Him and His Spirit working in us. Some of us love doing things for God but don’t take the time to withdraw to one-to-one time with God in prayer. I being no exception of this. And this is what the Lord taught me today It’s not about us working for God, it’s about us letting God work in us. That makes all the difference between things done on our own strength and things done by His Spirit.

God Bless

To obey is better than sacrifice

“So Samuel said: “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.””

I Samuel 15:22 (New King James Version)

What dictates how we react ? Our circumstances or our faith ? What drives us to do what we do ? Love for God or an obligation to do something ? Let’s turn back a couple of chapters .. we read in chapter 13 that Saul chose for himself three thousand men and Jonathan attacked the garrison of the Philistines. Then the Philistines gathered together to fight Israel, thirty thousand chariots and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the seashore in multitude ! Whoa .. that’s not a pleasant situation to be in is it ? Now the men of Israel saw that they were in danger and they hid in caves , in pits… some crossed over Jordan. Now there are two people’s outlooks that we will be reading on today. One that of Saul and the other that of Jonathan.

We read in I Samuel 13 : 8 – 12 , “Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering. Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him. And Samuel said, “What have you done?” Saul said, “When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.”” He felt compelled (obliged , duty-bound) . he thought that the Philistines would come against him and he had not sought the favor of the Lord and so he forced himself and offered the burnt offering . I encourage you brothers and sisters to read chapters 13 through 15.

Now let’s see how Jonathan saw the same situation . We read in I Samuel 14 : 6 , “Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will work for us. For nothing restrains the LORD from saving by many or by few.”” It’s all about Him. It’s by His strength and not by what we do.

How is our reaction to circumstances and situations around us ? The Lord sees our hearts. It’s not about what we do . It’s about why we do it . Do we seek self ? Or do we truly trust in Him and know that it’s not about us?

In the context of today’s verse we read in Chapter 15 that Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs and all that was good. We read in I Samuel 15: 12, “So when Samuel rose early in the morning to meet Saul, it was told Samuel, saying , “Saul went to Carmel, and indeed, he set up a monument for himself; and he has gone on around, passed by, and gown down to Gilgal.

I Samuel 15: 18-21 , “Now the LORD sent you on a mission, and said, ‘Go, and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are consumed.’ Why then did you not obey the voice of the LORD? Why did you swoop down on the spoil, and do evil in the sight of the LORD?” And Saul said to Samuel, “But I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and gone on the mission on which the LORD sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gilgal."

God’s delight is in us obeying His voice. Because if we obey His voice then we are walking in accordance to His leading and not as per our own strength and our own wisdom. Sometimes we think we know better. We think with what we see with our eye ! We read in Luke11: 34 , “”The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness.” What do we have our eyes focused on ? Things that we deem is good ? things of our strength ? Things of our wisdom ? Or things of God ? Obedience to His voice. We are like vapor in the wind. Imagine that !!! Given the choice between relying on the wisdom of vapor or the wisdom of the great I AM who would you rely on ?

I pray that the Lord will bless us with obedience to His voice. It’s not about doing things which we term good , it’s about doing His things because He knows what is good.

God Bless

Oh Come

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice:”

Psalm 95 : 6-7 (New King James Version)

Step 1 : The willingness to come. Isn’t it interesting that we somehow can make time in our schedule for important work related meetings, for fun social events .. but when it comes to spending time in His presence we have every excuse in the world.

Ever wonder why it’s so easy to let our hearts go astray ? We read in Galatians 5: 17 , “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish .” The flesh and the Spirit are in constant war with each other. However we need to understand “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:24) Wow ! we really need to get this. We who are Christ’s have what ? Crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

We read in verse Galatians 5: 16 , “I say then : Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” If we would walk in the Spirit then its not that you ‘may not’ or ‘most probably not’ fulfill the lust of the flesh … no no no … the word of God says you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. In other words if we would walk in the Spirit then we WILL NOT gratify any desire of sinful nature !

Sometimes satan blinds our eyes that we don’t even recognize the sin in our lives. I pray that the Lord will convict us of every sinful nature in our lives and that we will surrender to Him completely that He will purge away everything in our lives that is not of Him.

Oh come :-) Amazing isn’t it . I love those two words ‘Oh Come’ . And when we walk in the Spirit we definitely come. We come together and worship and bow down to the great I AM. We kneel down before the Lord our Maker. If there are things in our life that have hindered us from coming into His presence and giving Him our very best then we need to pray and ask Him to clean us up. The latter half of verse 8 says ‘Today, if you will hear His voice:’ When ? Today !

We read in verses 8-11 , “”Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness, When your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work. For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’ So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’”” What are God’s ways ? They are of the Spirit. Do we walk in His ways ? Are we walking in the Spirit ?

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice:

God Bless

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture

“Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.”

Psalm 100 : 3 (New King James Version)

The first half of the verse seems like a really obvious statement doesn’t it ? Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves. We definitely say ‘Yes Lord we acknowledge that You are God and it is You who has made us and not we ourselves’. But do we lead lives that reflect that statement ?

Do we truly live life everyday saying ‘Lord this life that I live is Yours. Have Your way ! ‘ Do we say , “Lord every minute is Yours , You lead me, I lift up every minute to You , have Your way”

Or have we started living lives where we say “yes Lord You are my God , but now I have things I need to do so thank You for this day and keep me safe so that I can continue doing what I want to do “

Ever feel a difference when you say ‘You are my God’ as compared to ‘I am Yours’ ? Many at times we try and fit God to be a tiny part of our schedule and we expect God to be content with it that we have sacrificed half an hour or an hour for Him. It’s become like getting work done “yes Lord You are my God so I have made some time for You.”

Have we forgotten who He is ? He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings, He is the great I AM !!

The latter half of the verse says We are HIS people and the sheep of HIS pasture. We are to graze/feed of His pasture. We are to trod in His presence. We are His and hence are to be sensitive to His voice and walk where He leads. In other words follow with obedience and know that He is our God

I pray that we will live this verse to its fullest “Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

God Bless

Still running ...but looking onto ??

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12: 1-2 (New King James Version)

Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare ? Well here is a similar story with a little twist. At the starting line there were several hares and the tortoise . At the sound of the start gun they all started running. As they were running one hare noticed a pretty rabbit walking towards another road and so he decided to take a detour and continued running . Another hare as he was running saw a huge pile of money and he took a detour . In a similar manner all the hares one by one took detours , some setting their sights on jobs , some on hobbies that excited them … The tortoise however kept looking straight ahead at the goal and ran on to complete the race.

A lot of us are like the hares. We still continue running. But we have forgotten what we were running to !! We were meant to be running the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus. A lot of us still continue running but looking onto different things of this world. We have gotten side tracked and are busy running towards other things and for other things and some of us don’t even realize it.

Lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us’ – May this be our decision today
Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith’ – May this be our daily prayer
Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God ‘ - May we never forget the price that was paid for us

I can never be 'not guilty' , I can only be 'Forgiven!'

“There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owned five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?” Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.” And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.”

Luke 7 : 41-43 (New King James Version)

We read from verses 36 -39 , “Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”

Now this man was a Pharisee, but when he saw the woman he considered himself to be o so much holy when compared to her. Do we take that kind of stand in our daily lives ? Yes we have Christ residing within us. But when we see other people coming to seek Christ do we take a “I am so much more holier” stand ? Do we let self pride enter our lives ? Do we let self righteousness govern our thoughts ?

We need to understand one thing … when we stand at the white throne judgment there is not going to be a GUILTY and NOT GUILTY sentenced passed. Do you know why ? Because we all are guilty . We all have fallen short . God is so Holy and His standards are so high. Looking at someone in lust is the equivalent of committing adultery. A lie is a lie. And sin is sin. We are no one to judge “Oh this sin is not as big as that” . Sin is sin !
I believe that the two states we will see is GUILTY and FORGIVEN !! (just think about this for a while )

1 John 1:9 , “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Wow ! What a joy to be forgiven. And when we are forgiven , the love we have for Him just grows by the moment. And you know what ? Its personal. It’s an intimate understanding between you and God. Being forgiven in Christ does not mean we take a judgmental stand. Being forgiven is that we understand its only His grace and His love and His mercy that sustains us. That should automatically take us of that lofty judgmental position that we like to stand upon sometimes.

We read in verses 41-43 that there was a certain creditor and he had two debtors. And they both owed him money. One 500 denarii and another 50. And the creditor forgave them both. We read that this passage is only about two things 1. The forgiveness of the creditor 2.The love of the debtor. It has nothing to do with oh one debtor was better than the other or that one did not deserve to be forgiven or anything of that nature.

And that is the same view we need to keep in mind. Praise God for His forgiveness. Our Holy God , the great I AM loves us , He has forgiven us. Its not for us to be turning around and saying “Oh I am better off than you because I only needed XYZ sin forgiven and not ABC”. Nope. It’s about Him and its about the love relationship that is between us and Him.

I pray that we come down from our forever judgmental perspectives and may the Lord open our eyes to see Him and bless our hearts with a love that overflows for Him.

God Bless

Have we put on the whole armor ?

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Ephesians 6: 11-12 (New King James Version)

The question that crosses almost everyone’s minds in the morning , “What do I wear today ?” . And so many factors tend to play a part in this decision. Do I have the time to iron it ? Or do I pick something already ironed ? For some people, the clothes need to pass the ‘Sniff’ test ! They pick their clothes in their hands and press it up against the nose and go ‘Snifffffffff’ and if they can stand it , then its good to go ! Well whichever way we pick our clothes , we do spend time thinking what do we wear for the day . And then we spend time getting dressed after that. And this is surely an almost every day event .

We read that in days when people used armors (shields and swords…) in battle , then the soldiers who were lower in rank got less armor. They would probably get just a sword, or in some cases a shield and a sword. The soldiers in higher rank would get the entire armor (breast plates, helmet …). The word of God says we are to put on the WHOLE armor of God. Not part .. Not just the helmet of salvation. The whole armor !

We spend a considerable amount of time with regards to what we wear . Do we prepare ourselves in putting on the whole armor of God ? We read in verse 12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places

It’s a 24*7 battle. Are we prepared ?

We know how drastically rain makes most us decide ‘No light colored pants’ . If the weather becomes all windy and cold , then we decide to wear a light jacket because we decide what we currently are wearing is not sufficient enough. Interesting isn’t it how much we prepare for uncertain climatic conditions but how little we prepare spiritually.

Do we put that much preparation into putting on the full armor of God ? Every day , every moment. The devil doesn’t take a break. The demons around do not take a break. Why do we who are called to put on the whole armor of God decide to laze around ? No one puts on an armor to go to bed. They put on the armor for battle.

We read in verses 14-20, “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak

"You give them something to eat."

“But He answered and said to them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to Him, “shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?” But He said to them, “How many loaves do you have ? Go and see.” And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.”

Mark 6 : 37-38 (New King James Version)

Here is a passage we are all familiar with and we have meditated on it before as well . We read in verses 31-34 , “And He said to them , “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going , and they did not even have time to eat. So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves But the multitudes saw them departing, and many knew Him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to Him. And Jesus , when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.

The people saw Jesus and the disciples in the boat and they ran on foot ! Wow , just picture that. When Jesus saw the multitude He was moved with compassion because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. And He began to teach them.

When we look at people all around us , be it in our offices , our colleges , our schools and even our homes… what do we see ? Do we see the lost ? We have a shepherd ! Are our hearts moved with compassion to tell them about our Shepherd ? Do we intercede and stand in the gap for them ?

We read in verses 35-36, “When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late. Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.”” Ok , so it’s getting late . No one has eaten and the disciples come to Christ and ask Him to send them away so that they can get something to eat. Seems logical right ? People are hungry , it’s a huge crowd , they can surely walk back and get something to eat. Totally logical !

What did Christ respond ? “You give them something to eat.” Ok …. Hmmm ok … so what’s the next logical thing to do ? Count the money that we have and let’s see how much bread we can buy ! Isn’t that the most logical thing to do ?

We read in verse 38 , “But He said to them. “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they found out they said, “Five and two fish.”

There is a multitude around us that is hungry. We need to understand God has commissioned us saying “You give them something to eat.” .

Next , if you are wondering saying . “Lord how can I tell people about you … I can’t talk properly “ , “ Lord you know my situation , my circumstance .. am I an ideal testimony?” Or if you find yourself in a tough spot saying ‘Lord I have no idea how I can meet the current need . It’s not logical” … we need to understand our God is not limited by logic !! We often find ourselves limiting God because of our limited minds. I pray that we be set free this morning .

God always provisions the right amount in the right time. His ways are perfect !

Logically what are five loaves and two fish in a crowd of five thousand men plus women and children ? Nothing.

What are five loaves and two fish in the hand of God ? We read in verses 41-43 , “And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all. So they all ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish.

In His hands its surplus !! We read they all ate and were filled ! And it does not stop there… they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish.

I pray that our eyes may be opened to see that God had provisioned for us exactly what we need. All we have to do is lift up all that we are and all that we have into His hands. And when everything is in His hands.. its beyond logic. The multitude around us is hungry and God had provisioned exactly what is required to meet the need. Are we willing to walk in His ways ? Are we willing to be used by Him ? Are we willing to let go of certain logical barriers that are a spiritual hindrance in our lives ?

God Bless
