“Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.”

“Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.”

Psalm 100 : 2 (New King James version)

We have entered into a whole new year by His grace, Praise the Lord ! And this is what the Lord is leading me to share this morning - Serve the Lord with gladness ! We read in Matthew 28 : 18-20 , “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

We need to start getting our basics right …

· We need to be aware of the fact that all authority in heaven and on earth is with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. There is nothing beyond His control or His will . So no matter what difficult circumstance or situation may arise know that you can look straight at it and say ‘My God is greater , My God is stronger, My God is above every circumstance and situation’

We need to have ‘complete’ surrender to our God. We cannot be saying ‘greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world’ and then allow satan to have multiple footholds in our life. Its time to get cleaned up.

· The great commission :-) We need to understand that there is a lot to this . In curt , the first part is the message of the cross – salvation for those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The second part is growth ! Jesus commissions us to teach others to observe things that He has commanded us

As simple as it sounds , here is a question that I frequently ask myself ‘Am I doing all what God has commanded me to do as per His word?” . In even simpler terms , “Am I a doer of God’s word ?”

We need to be doers of God’s word and be a testimony to those around and be able to teach others as well what He has commanded us. Lets really reflect this morning at our own lives and see if we are following this “‘Jesus said to him, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ,You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22: 37-40

· And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Amen ! What else do we need ? The Lord our God is with us ! Why should we ever doubt or get anxious or get worried ? When we surrender ourselves completely to Him we have no worry. We are in His hands. Rejoice !

May what drives us to His presence not be just something we need or want . May it be a heart that is hungry for Him ! May it be a heart that rejoices in Him. May it be a heart that longs for Him. May our every desire be to serve Him with gladness.

“Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.”

God Bless
