More than a song

"Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying,
“I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously;
the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
The LORD is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him."

Exodus 15:1-2

Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord after they had just crossed the red sea and had seen God save them from the Egyptians. But as we continue to read the chapter, we see that they went into the wilderness and after 3 days of finding no water they began to complain.

I know its easy for us to point a finger at them and say "How ungrateful could they be.. God saved them out of Egypt..They saw all the plagues that God sent and the red sea crossing...What more could they need to see of how faithful God is..."

A lot of times as we make our journey, we do the same thing... We forget of all the awesome things He has done.. we forget of His constant hand of love and protection that is upon our lives even right now and we choose to look at the circumstance and doubt/grumble/be discontented/decide to take matters into our own hands.

On Sunday we sing songs like "Jesus You are more than enough for me"... Do we truly mean it ? Do we live a life that reflects that ?

To live a life that trusts in Him completely requires His grace :) It requires us to lay it all down at His feet and say "Daddy I surrender all...my eyes will be fixed on You and You alone".

May praises arise from our heart , may our eyes be fixed on Him and may circumstances never dictate our faith.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

God Bless
