What are you seeing ?

"Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."

Matthew 7:5 (New King James Version)

Its soooo easy to find fault with others . I for one am an expert at that ! Well by God's grace I am geting better at looking first into myself and making sure that that portion of my life is better...Not perfect ! But yeah trying to get there by God's grace .

I think it couldnt have been put more beautifully ! The Bible calls it as being a "Hypocrite" when we condemn others and try correcting them when we ourselves have so much of filth within us..

I am not saying we should not correct people at all... Im just saying that there is a fine line with correction out of love and discipline and that of judging others... and it takes wisdom and spiritual maturity to be able to discern well all the time. The Bible says let your words be seasoned...which means that even in correction there is a way to do it....

When there is a plank in our own eye it impaires our vision...it impaires our view... But when we make the correction in our own lives first we might see things a lot differently... we might have more compassion ...more understanding ... and when we have come into this new view ...new vision then we know we are seeing clear enough to remove the speck from our brother's eye

In simple terms...Before finding fault with other people and correcting them we need to look at ourselves and make the required changes within us first. Because when we do that we actually know what it is to make a change...the fact that at times its not easy...but the joy in it is amazing .

The next time we start thinking "Im so much better...I am spiritiually stronger.... He doesnt know anything...How can he do that ..." lets prayerfully look at ourselves first .... lets learn to change ourselves to be in the image of Christ and lets pray that God gives us wisdom and sensitivity in how to talk to people when it concerns correction...and above all that God grants us humility.

God Bless
